Lowensenf Extra Hot Mustard in Tube ( 100 ml )

Perfect German HOT mustard! Delicious!!!!

I found out about this by watching The Backwoods Gourmet on YouTube and figured I'd give it a shot. Totally worth it. It's not cheap, but I absolutely love it.The tube packaging is unique but so is the flavor. Spicy, sharp with notes of horseradish but not overpowering. Adds just the right amount of kick on brats, kielbasa, burgers and anything else you want to make better.If you like tangy mustard, you won't be disappointed!

I personally don't have a taste for mustard, especially hot mustard. I have however found that this mustard makes a great Birthday or Christmas gift for anybody you know who loves very high quality mustard. A few of my family members absolutely love the stuff so it makes a good fall back gift if you can't think of what to get.This mustard is made in Düsseldorf, Germany and when I purchased was shipped from Great Britain to the US at a very affordable price for some very fancy mustard.

Löwensenf is my favorite mustard and I frequently bought this brand when I was living in Europe. So I was very happy to find this product on Amazon. When we opened the tube today, we did not recognize the hot Löwensenf taste we are used to and like so much. With fresh extra hot Löwensenf it is usually almost impossible to eat half a teaspoon because it is so extremely hot (in a good, tasty way).This mustard was barely hot at all and simply tasted old. So we figured that perhaps it was close to the expiration date. The date was supposed to be at the end of the tube - but we could not find it. I then noticed that the end of the tube was turned inwards, hiding the date. I unrolled the tube and to my great astonishment found that the date was scratched off. I am absolutely certain of this as we ordered a second tube of the medium Löwensenf and on that tube the date is exactly in the spot where there is only a blank area with the color of the tube scatched off and the underlying metal showing on the tube with the extra hot mustard. In my opinion, selling food this way via Amazon is fraud and an actual danger to the customers!By the way: The second tube we bought from this supplier is also only 2 months away from the expiration date. Considering that you can normally store unopened Löwensenf in these tubes for years, it is clear that this supplier has a problem getting rid of his products.In conclusion, Löwensenf is one of the best mustards ever - just don't get if from this seller!

It appears that the seller buys these expired from Germany then resells them. The expiration dates were scratched off. Disappointed in the short shelf life of these. It is still a great product though.

I love European mustards in tubes. They are unbreakable and don't take up a lot of space. I love them for backpacking, skiing, and picnics.
