Great customer service
My first one never worked when I needed it to, my suspicion was an issue with the battery. I thought maybe I could get it to work and figured I was probably doing something wrong, and ultimately I let it sit in my camera bag unused for over a year. When I remembered how much I paid for it, I got frustrated that it wasn’t working, but was sure there’s no way they’d send me a replacement after more than a year had passed since I bought it. Contacted support anyway, and after I sent them proof of purchase & a short video showing how it wasn’t turning on and wasn’t giving any status lights despite being plugged in for a solid day, they sent me a new one. Thanks Lume team! The replacement works as expected - I’ll update if the second one also has issues holding a charge and turning on.

Use them all the time, love this kit and product
Can not say enough about this product. Waited to do a review so I was sure. The kit is great, the lights are durable and small. So you can throw on in you pocket if you are hiking into the forest, ar you can take the whole kit if you are going to a park. The effects you can achieve are endless, from casual portraits to macro... I just love these. They have withstood the test of time, the still function like the day I got them!Support, not a problem. Had a magnet in one of the defussers fall out when the first arrived. Called or wrote the company, a new one arrived in the mail with no hassle and within a week and half! Service was amazing.

Great Product
I bought one of these to try it out, then bought another although there was one difficulty in use. That difficulty pertains to mounting the modification frame (used for diffuser, color gels, snoot, etc.) The frame does not easily snap on and off. The first time I put a frame on, I had to use great force and angling back and forth. I then despaired of getting the frame off without the use of tools that might damage the product. I found, however, that, after use of the Lume Cube the frame was easier to remove and replace by hand. A better design would use detents to snap on and off.I use two of the Lume Cubes in a studio to illuminate small objects for photography. I use the Lume Cube's diffuser and the Lume Cube Snoot. They stack magnetically onto the modification frame. I also sometimes use a small piece of polarizing sheet between the diffuser and snoot. The magnetic force is strong enough to allow this. It would be handy if Lume Cube would supply a polarizer to fit the modification frame, as well as their other modifiers.

A macro must
First off, I like these Lume Cubes.Brightness is decent. Size is good. Battery life is decent. Accessories are useful. The carry case and the way everything fits inside is spectacular. The magnet attach system is easy. Versatility is great, especially in wet conditions. Portability is spectacular. Charging is easy. Build quality is strong.Price.... is kind of high, all things considered and I knocked off 2 stars from Value for the money category. I scratched my head about the advantages of these versus 2 small Cree XP-L flashlights @ $36 each.Sold individually, these Lume Cubes are around $90 each.At the time of my purchase, this 22 piece Pro kit was $225, making the accessories about $45. At this price I would have given 5 stars IF it came with 2 metal tripods similar to the Feiyutech ones you see in my picture. (minus 1 star)Now the price of the Pro set is a staggering $300!! (minus the second star)As is, I don't believe that the Pro kit is worth more than $200. If it came with the tripods I mentioned then I think that $225 - $250 would be reasonable. $300 is off the charts expensive. The main advantages of these over the Cree flashlights is that you can run these while plugged in for continuous use, the smaller size and shape are a bit easier to work with, the flashlights are not easily mounted or positioned if doing mushroom macro or bugs, and perhaps the color spectrum, although this can be easily adjusted for in-camera. However, the plug in advantage only helps if you are near a power source, not an advantage in the field.Would I buy this again? NOT at the new price.Would I recommend it to a friend? NOT at the new price.I hope this review helps,Thanks from Chicago

Not Waterproof
Owned this product for a couple years. Didn’t use it very frequently, but seemed like a good light over the years. One day, I submerged it in shallow water (2-3 feet) for about 30 seconds. The light turned off and would not turn back on. After a few hours, I noticed some water had gotten into the glass housing in front of the light bulb. So if you’re looking for a waterproof light (or even water resistant) this isn’t it. And there is only a 1 year warranty, so good luck if it fails beyond that.

Discontinued item - Used product had issues
The LumeCube 2.0 is a great light for photography and videography. I'd give the lights 5 stars. The lighting kit is no longer available via LumeCube - so I purchased what was supposed to be an "open box" on Amazon sold by Treasure Planning and it had issues. First - though the listing was for an "open box" the item came marked as "Used - like new" Second the initial set I purchased the modification frames (how all the accessories attach to the lights) did not fit the included lights. This meant all of the accessories are useless. I contacted LumeCube (which has excellent customer support) and after discussing with them, and sending a photo - they said that the frames I had were not manufactured by them. And, they no longer make the accessory lighting kit - so didn't have any way to replace those parts. If I just wanted the lights, I would have bought them new from them directly. I was able to return them - but I was not impressed by Treasure Planning. They did have 1 additional set - which I ordered, and the frames fit, but the lights were clearly used. not "open box" or "like new". I wish LumeCube still made this set - and I do recommend the lights. Beware of used purchases for items like this.
