Bought four locks to replace existing deadbolts. Good looking unit. The features are well thought out and work very well, especially the fingerprint reader function. installation was pretty straight forward, especialy when replacing similar locksets. I ordered all for locks to be fitted with the with the Schlage cylinders. That is where the only issues came up, and where the great customer service came in to play. Two of the units shipped were exactly as needed. The other two locksets came with Kwikset cylinders. I contacted U-Tec customer service and they promptly sent two Schlage cylinders. Upon receipt, however, it was discovered that the Schlage cylinders are a slightly bigger design and will not fit in the locksets designed for Kwikset cylinders. Long story short, Gilbert in Customer Service did a great job rectifying the problem, and at no additional expense to me. If this kind of service is any indication, U-Tec will do well.

This doesn't have a handle. After I replaced my lock with this thing, I had to buy a simple handle so I could open the door ! Was easy to assemble for the most part. Had to loosen some screws so it would actually work and not bind Annoying that it locks after a couple minutes even when the door is left wide open Not sure what "anti peek" means. If you someone is close enough, he/she can see the code you punch

I’ve had this lock almost three years now, and it works perfectly for me. I have the most basic version (because I don’t need to unlock my house from another state, thanks) and have had no problems whatsoever. It detects my phone and unlocks when I approach. I can lock or unlock from the app, as long as I’m within range. The fingerprint reader works great for me. Can’t speak for the keypad, as I’ve never used it. I can see how the battery life would be a concern for some, because it will be heavily dependent on how you use it. I mostly unlock/lock it manually from inside the house, so the battery life on my unit will be much longer than someone who works it differently. I’ve had to change the batteries twice (not counting the original set installed with the unit initially) in nearly three years. I like it enough that I’m anxiously waiting for my Yale keypad deadbolt on my front door to fail so I can replace with another Ultraloq. The Yale has also performs perfectly, but I love the biometric/bluetooth capability of this one.

Warning: Do NOT buy this electronic lock! We just discovered a serious security flaw. This electronic lock can be opened by unregistered fingerprints after multiple attempts. Please see video attached for more details. That means someone whose fingerprint was never enrolled may still be able to unlock the door. This completely defeats the purpose of having a security lock and poses a serious safety risk. I am extremely disappointed on this expensive lock, as we have been exposed to danger for last four years! If you’re considering buying this lock, DO NOT buy it. If you already own one, I strongly recommend replacing it immediately. A lock that can be opened by unauthorized fingerprints is simply not functioning as a secure lock.

Great smart lock with superior battery life compared to others. I had purchased this as a replacement to my wifi kwikset locks that were running out of battery every month. These last for 6+ months with regular use, in addition the fingerprint access is fast and efficient. I've upgraded all 4 locks in my house and have not been disappointed.

I've had my eye on this lock for a while, ever since I saw it on Indiegogo. I especially liked the idea of having multiple ways to unlock a door, and I especially liked the idea of the fingerprint technology involved. Installing the lock was fairly easy. I'd never installed a lock before, and I'm not mechanically inclined at all, but the instructions (with pictures) made it easy to take the existing deadbolt off the door and replace it with this lock. The only real issue I had was when I had the back-plate of the indoor part of the lock backwards, but once I figured out that I had it facing the wrong direction, the rest was a cinch. Downloading the app from the App Store wasn't an issue, and setting up an account from the app was fine. My only issue with setting up the account is that the password didn't require special characters and wouldn't let you add special characters. I was able to pair the lock with the app, but when I went to set up the fingerprint, it didn't have that option. It was then that I realized that the app thought the lock was the regular U-Bolt and not the Pro. Deleting everything and starting over didn't solve the issue. Very unsatisfying to spend so much time being excited over fingerprint tech on a door lock and then not being able to use it once you get it. And the worse part of it all is the customer service. When you call the number and you are on hold for a number of minutes, and then it bumps you into a voice inbox for you to leave a message. it doesn't ask if you want to do this, and it doesn't give you the option of remaining in the queue for an associate to help you. Honestly, seems like a good way to just never need to actually interact with customers and deal with their issues. I left a message, and I still haven't received a call-back. Today, I submitted a "ticket," from their website describing the issue and I included pictures so they could see what I was looking at when I try setting the lock up in the app. We shall see if this works to get through to somebody. If not, then I will be returning it and will probably scour the internet for another lock that has the features that I want. So far, extremely disappointed. I would have been inclined to give it more than 3 stars if the customer service had been more responsive because I had hopes that the lock would be everything I thought it would be.

I own 3 units and they are reliable, easy to install and program. I did have an issue with one of the fingerprint readers. I called tech support and after some troubleshooting they sent me a new fingerprint reader with detailed instructions. The replacement unit fixed part of the problem. I reached tech support again and they suggested a software update. The update fixed the remaining issues and now works perfectly.

Fairly easy install, looks sharp. Was very easy to find a matching handle. This thing rocks, has everything I wanted in a deadbolt and I prefer a non-internet connection and the Bluetooth is great. My finger print so far has a 100% success rate and I’ve had it for two weeks opening it many times a day. I also love the auto lock never have to worry about leaving my door unlocked again! Would totally recommend and already have to my family.

Bought the u bolt pro to replace my deadbolt and installed it with relative ease. U bolt pro is relatively easy to use with quite many features. Unfortunately fingerprint scanner did die on me once, but ultraloq team was nice to send me a replacement in Singapore. 4 stars just cause the fingerprint scanner did die on me, but otherwise, stellar customer service and overall a great lock
