I have 3 Yorkies and my daughter has 2. They all hate having their nails clipped and struggle so much that a groomer has to do it. You can hear their wails all over the neighbourhood! As it was stressing us out as much as the dogs, I thought I would try a nail grinder. What a difference! Although not altogether happy about it, they will sit and let me grind their nails. Took a few goes for them to realise it didn't actually hurt, and I only do it for short spells, before their patience runs out, but it does work. It is super quiet and easy to hold and adjust the speed. Has certainly paid for itself and I would definitely recommend it, especially for dogs who struggle and have black nails. No chance of catching their quicks and causing pain. I also learned a trick to help when using it, especially if they have long hair on their paws. Have a net bag, like the type oranges are sold in, and place it over their paws so that their nails go through the bag and it holds the fur back. Just like an old fashioned hair net! Simples.

My chihuahua was fine with this I usually cut his nails but he’s never happy about cutting them. I got this nail grinder and let him see it He ran away at first but soon got used to it. It’s very quiet and he now lets me do his nails . No problem at all all done with in a day of delivery Thankyou will save me vet fees to cut nails very happy customer

My dogs were frightened of the sound. I did get them to let me use it on them by a slow process of offering cheese to let me even just touch the grinder to their foot first switched off, then slow. However, they clearly hate the sensation and won’t let me use it long enough to trim their nails

Very safe to use and my greyhounds don't seem to mind the noise. Not too fast but keep nails tidy if you trim fairly regularly.

It’s ok, my dog hates having her nails clipped and it doesn’t really help much.
