New Age Misinformation
This is one of those New Age misinformation books. For example, one of the first claims in the book is that runes come from northern European neolithic symbols. This is not true. Runes trace back to Greek letters, and this is abundantly apparent to anyone who compares the sound values and shapes of the runes to archaic Greek letters. Or even just comparing them to the Latin letters we use today is enough. Here are some examples: ᚱR ᛚL ᚢU ᛒB ᛏT ᛁI ᛋS ᛗM. With all of those pairs it's not just the shapes that match up, it's the sound too. ᚱᛁᛏ in runic would be pronounced RIT (reet).

Excellent guide
Excellent beginners guide clear concise with so much information in separate sections, this allowed me to have as much or as little information on each rune. I will use this guide for many years to come

A good start, with a modern outlook
On the one hand I'm surprised this is used as a learning resource by BAPS as there are quite a few typo errors, and at least one contradiction within this edition. If you're into drawing a rune on a daily basis, it's also not easy to locate the rune meanings as they're not indexed individually. On the other hand, it is a valuable tool when learning about the runes, the historical 'story' behind them and their meanings. Written in modern, no frills language it should appeal to most students of the subject. I'd recommend you also source a more traditionally written resource to read alongside this so that you can compare and digest the information.

beware!
clear info but with a lot of spelling errors it's sometimes annoying to follow the line of thoughts. I love it anyway for starters.
