The perfect choice!
I bought this to use as a stroller and a bike trailer for my two young kids. We used it at the Omaha Zoo as a stroller with a five year old and a two year old along with two good sized coolers in the back. The kids loved it and could easily climb out anytime they wanted a closer view. It was a breeze to push, although the steep hills were a good work out. The extra storage room in the back was a life saver. This is a well made product! It stowed easily in the car trunk without taking up much room. The tires come off easily with a release pin and folds up in seconds. Set up is just as fast. Next step, take the kids on a bike trek. I'm sure it will tow as easy as it pushes. Love this!

High quality, affordable Bike trailer
I researched extensively before making this purchase because I wanted a good trailer that could convert and be more than passable as a stroller. I chose this company and model based on Amazon reviews and a lot of Google searching. I've been using it for a month now several times a week with my two toddlers, and I have no major complaints. It rides smooth as a stroller and as a trailer, the materials and stitching are solid, and getting it attached and detached from the bike is fast and easy. Attaching and removing the handlebar is pretty clumsy, so I will only be doing that when I have no choice and need to fold the whole thing down flat for portability, but I doubt I could come up with a better solution, and it's much better than not having the option to collapse the trailer at all. I had to get some help from a friend more familiar with a stepping drill bit and some scrap metal to make a custom attachment for my e-bike (Prodeco Phantom x2) because the InStep coupler is too small, so it would be good if they could make more than one coupler attachment available as a separate purpose, but maybe that will sort itself out as the e-bike market grows. Bottom line: I love that my kids ask to go for a buggy ride every day, and that this trailer makes it as enjoyable an experience for me as it is for them to go for a ride in the fresh air.

Terrific Buy for Cycling Twins!
After trying over 5 different types of trailers for my twin boys, we considered the instep due the review of two wheeling tots [...] . We were not disappointed. This trailer is ROOMY, with 25" of interior width (actually a bit more due the frame design) which is the same as the 600 dollar d'lite or the chariot. The spoked wheels and suspension design allow for a really smooth ride for the boys, and handled being on a 10 mile trail beautifully. It offers splendid storage space in the back which held a tent, two sleepsacks and a small igloo. The boys actually had space inside for blankets, books and their small day packs. The parking brake is quickly engaged and effective, is warm with with the weather shield down, but allows for cool ventilation in the Texas heat. It has a slightly padded 5 point harness. (this is where it differs with the higher end models, which have a plush harness, in Texas, less is more. This unit takes about 5 minutes to set up out of the box, the longest time was spent putting the mount of my bike while my boys kept trying to climb inside the trailer. The stroller wheels store upside down and are simple to remove and covert. (no clips like with other models; very well thought out) The seat adjusts with the use of two belts underneath and does not need to be readjusted each time you store your trailer. Unlike other models with rely only on velcro, this has a good combination of Velcro and snaps, which really help in the wind. With every double trailer, cornering is a pretty big issue, but the instep really did a good job and performed at the same level as other trailers that are about 4X as expensive. End result: If you have more than one kid, especially if one of them is slightly claustrophobic, THIS is the trailer for you. Words cannot describe the joy I felt at seeing my boys giggle and laugh while safely strapped with helmets. This is NOT a jogging stroller, though the stroller feature only takes 3mins to covert from hitched position and is a really smooth ride. I was prepared to pay 400- 700 dollars and then I tried the Instep. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

Low cost. Acceptable quality
Price: for what you get Great Size: Best there is including expensive competitors but still cramped for two. Wheel guards make this thing pretty wide. Quality: It seems in accordance with price. Assembly: Easy Ease of use: uses snaps and velcro. Opening and closing the passenger and luggage compartments is could be improved by using buckles instead of snaps. the older models clips were easier to use than the snap. Comfort: My kids say they like it but still would like more room. Seat is hardly a seat. It is a sling. Has cup holders they like. Attach to bike: Easy note: - DOES NOT fit all bikes (needs half inch radius clearance around the nut on the rear wheel opposite the chain to attach the coulper) Ease to walk with: Very good Jogging: Passable with or without the 3rd wheel. I do not often use it to run b/c I have a koolstop double jogger. This is my 3rd bike trailer. It is my second from in step. Durability: My last instep was used when I got it. I loaded 2 kids, library books and groceries in it 10+ miles per week for 2 years. When its frame broke I searched through hundreds of reviews from $70-$300 trailers. This one has now been in service for over a year. I have beat the daylights out of it and it keeps going. I got this (NEW) because it claimed to be larger and lighter than in-step's entry level and other brand's trailers. I also liked the ability to unhook it and walk/run with it. Size: Compared to the Quick and EZ: It is larger in the luggage area, shoulder area (25 inches vs. 20 inches.) and foot well width is 22" vs. 20" (foot reach is the same 12" from front of seat to cross bar at toes). height is equal. The BIG problem is that my skinny 4.5 year old and 2.5 year old girls wanted more room at the hips. The Q&EZ and Rocket are the same at 20". The sling seat in the new one actually causes the kids to slide to the center. This seat provides less support than our old trailer. The new EZ's prob have the new poorly designed seats too. I checked widths of pretty much everything out there ON LINE but was not able to physically check them out for widths and fit for my kids. This appeared to be the widest (along with the schwinn Mark II). weightwise - I haven't put the old one a a scale but they feel about the same. The new one is larger but made of Aluminum rather than steel. Al+ also won't rust. The difference between this and the step down is front wheel and push bar addition. The difference between this and the next step up is the type of front wheel. I already have a quality jogger from Koolstop so I opted for the flip down small swivel front wheel. I did try running with it. It works fine as a jogger. Basically the front wheel doesn't interfere because it can easily be floated over the ground with light pressure on the handle bar. If you are a serious runner, even the Schwinn mark III is going to leave you wanting something better. Save the money on the not so useful harder to store and use large front wheel. Be sure to check schwinn trailers as well - they are both made by pacific cycles - schwinn has a better warrantee and I think they look nicer and would rather sport the schwinn name. If you see one on sale for the same price get it - if price is more go with the instep. Burley's, BOB, Chariots and everything else is WAYYYY overpriced. Even if you use you trailer a WHOLE lot (unless money is not an issue for you) there is no reason to pay the kind of money they want. Difficult to pull? I have read many other reviews stating this are hard to pull up hill. That is true but it is true of EVERY trailer. Blame Newton and Einstein or God himself. If you attach a 29 pound trailer, throw in 60 pounds of kids, a 5 pound bag and several books Gravity will work against you. Others say on a flat surface you can't feel it. Again - an object in motion tends to remain in motion. This stroller's axles seem well constructed and roll freely. Tire tread typ and width are pretty standard on trailers. So how easy it is depends on your fitness level, the weight your are pulling, laws of motion and gravity. On even ground I ride between 12-15 mph and typically take 2 to 5 mile rides with it. I am a competitive triathlete.

Great deal and Great product
I love it! It is light weight, has tons of storage, follows my bike everywhere! I like the bar around the tire, it adds width so be careful but it protects my wheels from getting ripped off by other cyclist or blind roller bladers. It folds up easily and compact. Very easy to setup and use. I would highly recommend it. Oh the 20 inch wheels are much better and safer than the smaller 13 inch ones on other models. So don't hesitate and buy it! But please don't spend out of your budget we don't need anymore credit card debt in our society. Go Mitt Romney 08!!!

2016 Really Love This! & 2019, still loving!
UPDATE 1/17/19: our daughter is three now and although she’s striking out on her own bike sometimes now, we still get her in this trailer for longer hauls and it’s holding up perfectly. Still very happy with this purchase! Dogs go in it too! Original review 2016: Loving this little trailer! Glad I splurged and got the trailer that turns into the stroller! It seems a little big when you're pushing it as a stroller in a crowded area but other than that it's been an awesome addition to our family days! Love the versatility and that the hitch just folds under when being used as a stroller. Easy to set up as well as fold up and pack in the car. Hooks to the bikes easy with the little mount that's included (we bought as extra one for $12 so both bikes have a "hitch"). I did a lot of research and knew I wanted something that could haul our baby as well as a cooler and daily outing essentials. Can hold one child in the center or two at once. While our baby was only 2 mo we strapped her in her infant car seat and put it inside the trailer while riding. Also comes with a flag which I didn't realize until we got it.

Does not attach to all bikes!
This trailer does not attach to all bikes. Upon receipt of the product, I assembled the trailer and attempted to take it for a spin. I was extremely frustrated when I found that the trailer would not attach to my GT Avalanche 3.0. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me to return the product as there is no attachment that would fix the problem. My bike does not have an abnormal frame and I was shocked to learn that the trailer would not work. Unless you have a bike frame with a very WIDE and FLAT area where the quick release mechanism attaches to the bike, I would suggest staying away from this product. I am now looking for a trailer that will attach to the actual frame and NOT to the quick release mechanism.

Smooth and light trailer for tooling around our neighborhood
I purchased this trailer to replace a bike seat my daughter had outgrown. We use it to bike to the local playgrounds and will be using it to take her back and forth to pre-school starting in the fall. The trailer is relatively easy to attach and un-attach. It is balanced well on the wheels and is very light and easy to pull on the bike (much easier than having her in the seat on the back). It travels over the yard well enough, although I don't "offroad" very much. It converts to a stroller simply, and we just leave the handlebar on the back all the time. We don't fold it much, because we use it often and because you have to change the strap under the seat when you fold it. I haven't been disappointed in it yet in any way. It has a little storage in the back, which is nice, and pockets and drink holders on each side, also nice. I haven't taken it to a store yet because I don't have a lock for it and would need a seperate one for it because the lock on my bike is short. But it has room to bring some stuff home from the store, which is much easier than the seat I was using. I will update my review if I have a different opinion after daily use.
