Gamer prospective
To start with I game on PS4 and PC mostly FPS and RPG so i'll be going over my experiences after trying multiple different sources using this headphones. So far my experience with this headphones has been fantastic its by far the most expensive headphones I've ever owned to date but you get your moneys worth.Sources: I'd like to point out that you can run these off of your PS4 controller, but i would't recommend plugging it in this way as I found the volume to be very low and the quality of sound was muffled. Running the AKGs off of my Motherboard (Asus PRIME Z390-A) was a bit surprising as the volume could go up a decent amount but the quality sounded muffled and at higher levels sounded grainy. Currently I have the AKG hooked up to the Schiit Magni 3 Heresy, which i'll be doing a review of later, with a RCA to 3.5mm cable hooked up to my motherboard from the Schiit Heresy the volume can be pushed way up without any noticeable distortion and the sound quality is amazing hearing details that i didn't notice before on my past headphones. At the the time of writing this review i didn't own an external DAC and i'll be updating this review once I buy a DAC most likely the Schiit Modi 3 or the Topping D30.Headphone: This is an open back pair of headphones so you can hear the outside world and those standing by you can hear what your listening to. When my wife or friends want to talk to me I can have full on conversations with these on and playing music long as its not turned up to loud that is.Sound Stage: The AKGs have an extremely wide sound stage as i'm able to pinpoint the direction of gunfire and footsteps around me in COD as I can easily track someone running on the other side of a wall and playing Monster Hunter World has taken my enjoyment of the game to another level not just hearing the monsters but the sounds in the background as well.Bass: Full but not overwhelming so if you have a grenade go off nearby or a bunch or explosions its not all your going to hear while playing multiplayer.Comfort: Super comfortable and not just the ear pads although those are very nice but the headphones themselves are very light weight and having them on for hours has never bothered me in the slightest. Ear warmth in my old headphones my ears would get hot from using closed back headphones and i would need to take breaks from them because it got uncomfortable but with these i don't have that issue as my ears stay nice and cool.Cons: These headphones have a squeak to them on the joining of the band and the cups due to the plastic on plastic which after looking around is a fairly common problem i'm assuming and its only noticeable to me when initially put them on and if i yawn which doesn't get picked up from my stand mic (HyperX Quadcast) to my knowledge.Stand: I use the YAMAZAKI home 2277 Tower Banana Stand black to place the AKGs on and with the huge cord that comes with it I just roll the cord loosely and tie them together with the twist ties that come with the AKGs and place the cord length I don't need in the stand base itself (I'll upload a Picture later)Hope my review helped someone out there and have a good one.

Awesome headphones in the price range and perfect for gaming
If you've read anything about these already, then you probably know that they're a great value and hard to beat at the price. However, that does come with a downside. The cheaper build quality and manufacturing has one particularly nasty side effect: The swivel part of the cups are prone to squeaking. I had originally gotten the red pair (which Amazon sent me by mistake as I had ordered the black) and it had a squeak so bad that I couldn't even move my head or open my mouth without it sending an annoying squeaking into my skull. I exchanged it and got the black one that I had originally wanted and it still has a little squeak, just not nearly as bad. It squeaks when I'm putting them on, but doesn't do it once it's on my head. There's ways to remedy this, but you shouldn't have to when buying something new-in-box for this price.I tried out several pairs of gaming headsets (Astro A50, HyperX Cloud Orbit S, and SteelSeries Arctis Pro) before I decided on these. I combined them with a Creative Sound BlasterX G6 DAC on my PC for music and gaming, which comes with some nice software to tweak and tune the sound for different needs. Before this, I had only ever used gaming headsets and this is a world of difference. In the same price range as all of those gaming headsets, you get way more bang for your buck. The sound stage is enormous and you don't need the cheesy virtual 7.1 surround sound to make the audio sound open and big. The downside is that it's not wireless and it doesn't have a built-in microphone. With how great these sound, you won't mind buying a detached microphone or having to deal with the cable.

Great gaming headphones !
Probably one of the best gaming headphones out in the market . This is a great product for the price , a steal for most people .ProsLightweightVery comfortableEar pads are some the best i have ever felt , no soreness of any kind what so ever ( i play for 1 hour to 8 hours straight)I personally love the design (black and red limited version)Clear mids with good to great highsamazing audio imaging ( whats used to track how close someone is in games with accuracy)ConsIf your a music lover you might want to get another headphone like the Sennheiser 6xx or jubilee 58x .BUYER BEWARE I HAVE HEARD OF MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE I AM HAVING WITH SQUEAKINESS COMING FROM BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE. I BUT SOME CLP BREAKFREE VERY CAREFULLY ON BOTH SIDES AND IT FIXED THE ISSUE .
