Nice analog VTX
Great VTX for the price. But be careful - this thing gets hot, but the heat sink seems to do it's job. I have forgotten to turn down the wattage on the bench and although it got super hot, it still was pushing the signal out. Just don't grab it in the wrong place. You will get burned. Only drawbacks for me are: 1. the antenna plug and the cable to the flight controller are on the same side. this means in a quadcopter, you will have to decide weather you want to route the antenna back over/under the vtx or turn it around and route the signal cable over/under vtx assuming you want the antenna in the back of the quad like most models. Both scenarios are not ideal and can cause some minor level of interference. 2. There is no pit mode like other similar VTXs. On this one, since it gets so hot, it would be very, very useful. I wrote to AKK and asked them if it was capable of pit mode and they just replied, "OK" which made no sense but it's a funny story, so maybe worth it. I don't think they speak good English, but at least they replied to my email. Like I said before, though, it's a great vtx for the price. I liked it enough to buy a second one for another quad. Also, thank you, AKK for not having a nonsense, weirdo brand name like "DreamGoo" or "EveryEndingRC". We see you and appreciate you.

Great VTX at bargain price
Works as expected. Tested with Caddx Infra 2 cam, no complaints. Extra TX power feels great. Gets hot when on max power, make sure to give it room for some air. LEDs are not marked, kinda confusing. English manual is unreadable, as usual.

The best penetration for analog
I do a lot of indoor Videography and even on the toughest buildings (parking lots with lots of mag interference, thick walls, aluminum and other metal obstructions, this is my go to vtx for that type of commercial work. Simple and effective!

Amazing range
I build all my quads. This vtx is in my 7" source one deadcat frame. On it's highest power level I can get out a mile (could go farther) before signal goes static. It does get very hot even with the heat sink. So do NOT leave sitting while powered up. All in all I hold this to the same level as the Solo

Okay but smart audio didn’t work
It’s ok. The SmartAudio doesn’t work and it runs very hot, to the point you can burn yourself even not at full power. Other than that it has worked fine. Better options out there.

It's been good
Now I can't say if it has an issue with 9v or if the BEC on my flight controller does not have the amps to power it, but it works pretty well with 12v straight off the battery of my plane. Have yet to try the microphone out, my VRX is not capable of that (yet), but it does have a microphone and smartaudio if your flight controller is that cool. The photo is with a 2dbi antenna at about 500m away from me. I do not have any means of measuring the power output but for the price, it is definitely better than any 600mw vtx with the same antennas and patch cables

Good transmitter
Great analog transmitter...with the possible ban on Chinese made drone equipment in the near future, could analog make a comeback?

Excellent range. Does get super hot though. But to be expected.

This thing goes up to 1600mw! I’m pretty sure it’s the most powerful 5.8 vtx on the market currently. It’s great and really robust. Anyone saying they are bad is user error guaranteed. Sure I’ve roasted a couple of these but was 100% due to user error. Otherwise they last forever and get huge range!

Used this for my rc car and the range is ok depending on your antenna. If you want long range then you would have to upgrade to a 5dbi or more type antenna. Video quality is ok, good enough to see where you are going.
