Good for walks and travel, especially in summer.
Good but have to be careful to keep the outside silicone part clean since this is where the water goes. Everyone that sees it says wow that's a cool water bottle! The main selling points for me were that you can save the water by draining it back into the bottle. Keep in mind only 90% goes back in. The other plus is that it is stainless steel which I don't like plastic since it can melt or increase tear stains. Good durable water bottle! Not perfect but definitely one of the best ones I've seen. My two small dogs can even drink from it at the same time.

Just what I was looking for...I thought
Update...I have downgraded my rating. On my 3rd outing with my dog and this device, that flimsy strap I was concerned with broke. The thing dropped to the ground from just below hip level. The plastic top shattered making the whole thing useless. For 20 bucks i expected better durabilty. It'sA good gizmo if you are very careful with it, but it wont tale much to turn it to scrap.Original review.... just got this today, washed it, and took it for a trail run. Works perfectly and my rough collie took it in no time. Time will tell how it wears. My only dislike, and it is a minor one, is that it has that flimsy-looking strap. I'd have much preferred an integrated carabiner or even just a ring to put one in.

Great idea not well designed
We used this bottle all past summer on the beach and we were continuing to use it during our fall/winter hikes with the dogs. It does leak but we were okay with it. However, I dropped the bottle on to soft floor yesterday. Not from any great heights. As I was trying to open the door, it slipped from my hand. And not it is dented and the handle attachment is broken. I didn't realize how cheap of a material it was made from.

Great for dog owners who like to hike and be active with their pets!
I was very confused with how to use it at first, so including a picture with this gift is important. But since I've gotten it, I've gotten to take it with me and my dog and neither of us runs out of water on adventures because we have our own full bottles. The bottle is sturdy so I can just toss it in my bag and not worry about it. It's also shallow so I don't feel like I'm wasting water if my dog isn't super thirsty and I dump the water out of the bowl.

Great to take on a hike
Very happy with this bottle. Easy to use and the dog loves it. What I liked most is that it is stainless. It is more dependenable then the plastic ones that have cracked while hiking. When used with ice cubes kept the water cold for hours. (My dog likes cold water). I want to add that I had no problem removing the sticker without scratching by using hot water and dawn dish soap. Liked it so much bought a second one as a gift.

Best doggie water bottle on the market!
Nice sturdy design. Bowl is big enough to work for even the largest of dogs. The dogs love it. It works great. Five star product. Docked two stars due to they're apparent inability to keep it in stock. Bought it as a gift for my father and love it so much I want one for myself. So it really pisses me off that they don't know if or when they'll be back in stock. I'll give those two stars back once they get the darn thing back in stock.Edit: Back in stock! Ordering another one pronto!

Leaks but it works for what it is
I thought this was a good idea but the cap has never screwed on properly so you have to keep it up right or it spills. I like that the water goes back in when you tip it up; but if your dog is like mine the mess of grass, dirt, and grime I would rather not have contaminate the clean water. It works for what it is but I would not purchase it again.

Happy with the product
After carrying regular Camelback water bottles for the dogs this thing is great. They drink a far great percentage of the water and less is spilled. Most of the water they do not drink can be drained back into the bottle for later. The dogs would prefer the Camelback bottle and drinking the waterfall through my hands, but as I am the one carrying the water they can use the more efficient method. After they got used to it they do not seem to mind, but would still rather I pour half the water on the ground. It is fairly easy to refill on the trail from the Osprey hydro backpack. It does leak a little where the rubber meets the metal - not bad.It would have a 5 star review if it did not leak. I would give it 4 3/4 stars if I could.

So much better than any other I've tried
This is a great dog water bottle. We have tried several others in the past, all of them plastic that either broke or started to leak not long after purchase, plus, they didn't hold near enough water. I love that I don't have to carry a separate bowl to keep him hydrated. It's also great that the canister is steel instead of plastic, if it falls the biggest problem might be a dent. If your dog is anything like mine and will only drink when the bowl is full, but only actually takes one or two sips, it is easy to tilt most of the water back into the canister (though one improvement might be to have a filter for the water going back in, as a lot of the time there is dirt or lots of goober mixed in). I did notice that the "bowl" can be difficult to turn inside out, but I've been told that it gets easier with use.

A+ product but best for one dog or short walks
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. It’s exactly what we wanted and for the most part, an A+ product. Best used for one dog only or a short walk.PRO’s: ergonomic barbell body makes it nice to carry with a female sized hand, along with the wrist strap. The metal body means it can take a beating (ours is dented, probably from a drop). Water flow is good and by tipping it back, most of the unused water is able to flow back into the bottle, which means less waste and less to carry if you don’t have to bring more to account for what’s wasted. It doesn’t leak, unless you forget or don’t fully click the water shut off button. The dogs seem to like it and use it without hesitation.CON’S: it’s fairly heavy (10.7 oz empty / 36 oz full), which if you have two dogs means lugging two bottles and more likely in a back pack. This defeats the purpose, because at 3 cups of water held per bottle, you could then tote a normal wide mouth water bottle and collapsible bowl, carrying the same or more water with as much ease of use while likely lighter. The one button releases the water and the other gates it, but that can be a bit awkward and wasn’t intuitive to me my first use, which caused it to leak. The bowl has to be reversed into the drinking bowl position and is stiff, which makes it sturdy, but also a bit awkward to unfold.

Looks great but plastic top fell apart
The product arrived looking exactly as advertised. The flip up drinking bowl was a good portable size and shape for our 50lb dog. But the first click on the lid to open it and the plastic top fell apart into its component pieces. Its a cheap plastic lid of parts that don't fit together properly. Had to return it as I couldn't reassemble. Return was simple and went smoothly. Credited full amount of purchase. Looking again for a quality travel water bottle for our dog...

Useful, but the lid leaks water after each use
A significant amount of water remains in lid after each use & leaks out while walking. Maybe if you carry the bottle in a waterproof bag, you could avoid getting wet, but the bottle definitely leaks.

No more hot, thirsty pups
Our big happy boy with his new water bottle for those warm summer walks. Perfect size for a walk. Easy to clean. And the best part is your dog can be easily hydrated (we know dogs like him need it). Very satisfied with this purchase. I also love that it's a Canadian company ❤️
