Like steel cables
They seem pretty sturdy. As i have only worn them for the past week, I can hardly atest to their lasting durablity. However when i first strapped up my boots with these laces, they never loosened up a bit after i tied them. i acquired all new blisters because of this. I adjusted my toghtening of these laces after that. These laces are the closest things to using steel cables to tie your boots. How they can last.

$20 wire
These laces looked good when they arrived; I liked the color and the steel ends. They didn't tie like normal laces, being stiffer, but I was prepared for that (from other reviewer's comments) and a square not and tuck into the lower laces solved the issue.I wore them for a week and a half (on a pair of Chippewa boots) when the right lace string broke, revealing a covered wire in the middle. The whole cloth covering, including the steel tip, came off, leaving a wire as my lace up. Invincible? Hardly!! I like the idea of these laces, but their advertising is their strongest point, it seems.Bottom line: I spent $20 for wire. If you want invincible, save your money by skipping these and purchase insulated wire from your nearest box/hardware store. Not pretty, but not $20, either.

Less like a Shoelace, and more like Baling Wire!
It seems like the manufacturer was so focused on creating an indestructible pair of shoe laces, that the didn't realize they had lost the fundamentals of what a shoelace is supposed to be. The laces are so rigged it's like a piece of wire, making it impossible to tie a traditional bow knot. It instantly works its way out. They supply you with a pair of lace locks, which even after several attempts using the diagram they supplied, I still couldn't figure out. When I buy a pair of shoe laces, i'm not expecting a massive learning curve. I don't want to have to learn a new sailing knot, or try to use some convoluted lace lock. I just want something I can lace up and go, and by that notion these laces have failed miserably.I have no doubt these laces are indestructible, and that's why i bought them, but that indestructibility shouldn't come at the expense of what a shoelace is supposed to do.

... outer cover is still showing signs of wear just like any other shoe lace I have seen
they are very stiff buy will not be able to get cut or burntthe only thing i have seen as a problem is that the outer cover is still showing signs of wear just like any other shoe lace I have seen. but thanks to the steel strands inside they will not break on me out on those long 3 plus day backpacking with my boy scouts.

Amazing laces. Highly recommended
These laces have yet frayed or broken or even changed color. Nothing has happened. They still look new. Amazing laces. Highly recommended. I am a welder and tonnes of sparks and hot molten metal droplets are consistently falling onto my boots. And these laces still look new. AMAZING

Not usable
Shoe lace ends ( eaglet) are to big in diameter to fit through the eyelets on my boots ( Caterpaillar brand). To bad I had to send them back I really wanted them to work.

Not worth the money
Purchased a pair of these laces for my work boots in January 2015'. With daily use they have started to shred where the brass rings on the boots are. I am very disappointed as they were marketed as unbreakable. I don't feel as though they should be shredding with 5 months of use. Not worth the money spent on them. Would of gotten the same amount of use out of regular laces.
