How is it mounted on a sliding glass door?

I would not attempt to cut into a glass door for this or any other reason.

how do I remove the tabs so the door swings without sticking?

The one that I returned had tabs on the sides that moved left and right to make it swinging it was too small for my cat's so I couldn't use it

This door is a piece of junk and broke on the first day but how can i return it because now there will be a huge hole in my porch!?!
