My little girl loves it!
For most dogs, you will need to train your dog to stay in the sling. Those who complain that the dogs might jump out...of course they will at first, until they feel SAFE in the sling! Now my girl, for whatever reason, the MOMENT I put it on she got excited. I picked her up, put her in it and she settled RIGHT into it and was happy as a clam! She weighs about 5.5 pounds and is a chihuahua/chinese crested/naked mole rat/muppet mix. (In other words...we have no idea. For all we know, she may be a cute exotic rat.) Now when she sees it, she gets SO excited. I put it on, bend over, she turns around and backs her little hiney right into it and makes herself comfortable. Keeps her from being underfoot in the morning. Actually the main reason I got it was for dog parks (the big dogs like to play longer than she does, and it keeps her close so we don't have to watch her AND them). One morning I nearly stepped on her for the 456,039,291.5th time and I grabbed the sling. That was all she wrote! Now every morning I get dressed, pop on the sling, do my makeup, hair, make my coffee (she doesn't shed, being part muppet), I could probably even cook breakfast but some might frown on that. Most dogs will need to get used to it.I really should post a video review, it is very cute. She is very cute. She even won me $2000 on America's Funniest Videos. Of course most of that will be used for more dog stuff.

Not Quite Deep or Wide Enough
I have a different sling I used with my 6 1/2 pound chihuahua while we were in Italy for 3 months. It worked great for taking him into restaurants and on trains. He could sink into it or stick his head out. I just adopted another rescue and wanted to get another sling. Unfortunately I could not find another like my first one, but this looked similar.I will start with the positives- the material is nice and it is reversible. That's all I have. Now on to my concerns:This one is not as deep or wide so my chihuahua hangs out of it. I wouldn't even try to use it with him. My new dog is just over 3 pounds and she fits ok. The problem is with the shape of the sling. My original one is shaped like a semi circle with straps and is about 4" wider in the curved area. This new one is shaped like a tube with a small rounded section on the bottom. If this sling had a wider bottom, it would be much better. I will try to put a picture up of both together. I haven't decided if I am going to keep it or not. It just doesn't feel as safe as my old one. If I do keep it, I plan to Velcro an elastic strap across the opening for a little more security so my dog won't fall out. I love doggie slings and they are easy to pack and use when needed. Having your pet with you and having both hands free is wonderful. I am afraid that I will have one hand holding on to my dog with this one.

Used it many times
This works perfectly for my 5 lb Yorkie. I have a bad back, and a Yorkie who doesn't like to travel. Because th pocket is so deep, she feels very safe in it. If it had a clip it would be perfect, but I've had to fashion one myself, because otherwise, I still had to use one hand to make sure she stayed in it. I've looked at many of these. This as the best price with a deep pocket. The material is not too heavy duty. So I didn't completely roast in Arizona while using it. But it's not good for hot weather-you and your dog may melt away! But this is excellent for everything else. I even tried my 9lb Chinese crested in it. She laid down and slept!

It is comfortable to wear
The only complaint I have about this sling is it is too narrow to feel my little four pound Yorkie is safely tucked in. His little paws and his head are up and hanging out. It is comfortable to wear, just the right length but I would suggest wider material so their is more room for the dog to fit into it safely. Also there is no tether strap which would be important if one has a little frisky dog. Mine is laid back so he doesn't try to jump out. I have used it 3 times and I am rethinking the design to figure out if I can add material to it or if I should make one myself that is wider. It is an easy pattern which would take little time to make, as long as someone has some basic sewing machine skills.

... sling because my 2 Devon Rex cats and I like the first one so much
I just purchased my second sling because my 2 Devon Rex cats and I like the first one so much. Both cats (8 lb and 10 lb) like to curl up in my lap for a nap at the same time but my lap isn't big enough to hold them both and one cat always prevails leaving the other to walk away unhappy. When I put on the sling, both cats can snuggle up in my lap and neither one falls off. I bought the second one because invariably the cats would decide it was nap time when the pet sling was upstairs and we were downstairs or vice versa. Now we have a sling upstairs and downstairs and if the urge to take a nap on my lap suddenly strikes, I'm always prepared. The sling is well constructed and soft and it washes well.

Pet sling review
The reversible sling pet carrier is just what I expected for my dog to ride in. The only thing I did not note ahead of time was that it is for pets up to 8 pounds, and she is 10 pounds. She still fits in it and it will still work, but I did not see this restriction anywhere when I ordered it. Otherwise, ordering it was easy and it came within days, so I have no complaints about the ordering process. It will still allow my girl to go with me on long-distance walks! Debra

Toy Poodle loves it!
Oh my gosh! The first time I put my 5 lb toy poodle in this she was a little skeptical. I walked around the house for a minute and then took her out. A little later I brought it out again and she came running over & wanted in it. A few days later when I brought it out again she started jumping up and down in excitement because she wanted in. When I take her out she's usually on a leash. I use this sling if I go to a gardening center or hardware store. They probably wouldn't let you come in with a dog on a leash, but in this little pouch they didn't say a word. We both love it!By the way, the sling was too long for me (I'm 5'3") and my dog was bouncing off my thigh when I walked, so I took it into the cleaners/tailor to have it shortened a few inches.

Not at all what I expected
It's not comfortable. My small dog was really squished in it. I would have returned it but didn't have original package anymore. I wouldn't recommend it
