Easy to install. Put these on 2 gas cans. Just make sure you empty the used gas can first!

Beautiful! Drill bit drills a *round* hole, not a triangle square, while also pulling the plastic out, not in. File gets the hole even cleaner for the perfect seal. The vent is just the right perfect size to make such a tight seal that it's somewhat difficult to get inside the can, use the file to carefully push it all the way in. Securing the nut on the stem compresses the seal around the hole on both sides. Perfect, tight seal, no leaks, no more glug glug, gas flies out of the can. No leaks. I'm ordering more.

Finally installed the vents. They worked great EXCEPT that the sealing ring in the caps were not compatible with gasoline. I installed the vents just about 1/4” above the full (5 gallon) full level. Full cans were not stored perfectly level so the gasoline was in contact with the cap gaskets. Days later the cans started seeping gasoline out of the screwed vent caps. After removing the vent caps, the gaskets had swollen up from original 8 mm to 11.5mm and were twisted up in the top of the caps so Basil’s that they would not seal. Easy fix, I used metric o-rings that were 4.8 mm id x 8.6 mm od x 1.9 mm cross section. They fit perfectly, just make sure the o-rings are of a material that is compatible with petroleum products and gasoline as well as diesel if that is what you have on the containers. Yes I would buy them again, well made product except for that square o-ring under the cap. I hope this helps someone.

We all know the struggle of modern day gas cans with all of their safety features. The slow filling process is matched only by the inconvenient safety spouts. This vent can design helps solve some of that problem. I have a diesel heater I use in the garage during the winter. Whenever I refill it, even after replacing the spout with a non safety design, I found it still takes forever because air can't get back into the can. After dealing with that for several months I finally caved and bought this vent cap. Install was straight forward, although I'd recommend a lubricant so you don't damage the seals as you install. I tipped the cans over and found after install there were no leaks. Simple and effective design. Using my gas cans after the vent cap install is night and day of a difference. I can fill the heater up quickly and get back to using it. I highly recommend getting these vent caps for the now modern safety cans that exist.

The vent works great and not plastic that breaks when cold.

A little easier to use than the vent caps that have to be fished through the container. Need a small screwdriver to help tuck in the rubber seal through the drilled hole. No complaints.

This kit is high quality and easy to install. The unique drill bit pulls the material out so it doesn't drop inside the can. The fittings are a tight fit to get in, but with some effort and patience, they'll go in. They seem to deal well, but they're also not installed in the "wet" part. Smart design and very solid. Comes with everything you need (minus a drill). I would definitely recommend and would buy again!
