Good LED replacement to a Phillips 26W PL-C 4-pin horizontal CFL bulb
I've had to keep replacing a Phillips 26W PL-C 4-pin CFL bulbs in my bathroom fan/light fixtures for years now, probably every 6 months. All of a sudden, nobody carries them in 3500K "neutral" white anymore, which is what I need.I picked up one of these LED bulbs to see how it would work out, and I just plugged it in today. The LED bulb is slightly longer, bigger, and heavier than the Phillips CFL bulb, but still easily fits into the fixture. More importantly, there are no offset tabs on the bulb base, like the Phillips and other PL-C bulbs have, so it plugged right into my fixture without any fitment issues. Brightness wise, it looks exactly the same as the Phillips CFL bulb. Since it's a LED bulb, it immediately turns on to full brightness with no 'warm up' process like a CFL bulb - something you really notice when the CFL bulb is dying and would soon need to be replaced. That said, the color temp of the LED 3500K bulb looks exactly the same as the Phillips 3500K CFL bulb.Overall, this is a great replacement bulb to the Phillips 3500 PL-C 4-pin CFL bulbs, but only time will tell just how long this LED bulb lasts. One major downside to this LED bulb is that it costs double what the Phillips CFL bulb costs at Home Depot ($6 vs $13). If this LED bulb lasts longer than a year, then it'll be worth it. But if stops working before a year, then I'll update this review with the results and change my rating for it.

Works with 13W CFL fixtures but wow, brighter!
I couldn't easily take my fixture down/apart to ID the ballast so I just bought 1 to try it. I got lucky, it lit right up without sound or flickering. My fixture is meant for 13W CFL, This is much brighter, even though it is only 9W.First pic is this bulb on left, with 13W CFL on right side of garage.Looking at it directly, even through the diffuser of the fixture is painful. That's the first closeup with the hotspot in the middle. The quick fix is to turn it around to light the inside of the fixture. (2nd closeup) Finally I lined the back of the fixure with glossy white paper. Now the fixture is more uniformly bright without the painful hot spot.I'm happy and will buy a 2nd one for the other side.Color temp is a bit cooler than the old-warm white CFL, but still white. Think hallogen bulb vs old school incandescent.

Bright and Easy
Replaced with this light and it is bright like I wanted it. Only concern is that there is a slight hum, not sure if I need to rewire it without the ballast. Would give 5 stars if didn't hum or came with directions to remove ballast.

The base can turn
My photo shows how the base can turn ±135° about the axis of the bulb (for 270° total, or 90° less than 360°), so you have lots of freedom to aim the bulbs where you want them to shine. When I played with this feature, I lost track of the center position, so I returned the bases to their center position shown on the box. Then I put squares of yellow Post-it® notes on the bases, with red arrows pointing straight up. Then I turned the bases as far as they would go, left and right. My photo shows my findings.I checked for electrical compatibility. At sunlite.com, I found their page for their 88271-SU bulb, where I downloaded their "Ballast Compatibility List" (as a PDF file). My dining room ceiling fixture is a Good Earth Lighting 19-inch "Taverna" (G4150-BN-I) that has a KTEB-226-1-TP ballast (which stands for Keystone Technologies, Electronic Ballast, for two 26W fluorescent bulbs, 120V input, and Thermally Protected bulb end-of-life). This Keystone ballast is on the Sunlite compatibility list. BUT NOTE — These ballasts and bulbs are not dimmable, so I stayed with a regular wall switch.Unfortunately, these bulbs would not light in my ceiling fixture. I trust Sunlite quality — and it is unlikely that both bulbs are bad — so I believe that something else is bad in my setup. I imagine my ballast is burned out. I will investigate that.

Incorrect description: Only compatible with G(x)24q-3 variant
I purchased several, in order to replace GX24q socket fluorescent bulbs in multiple locations. It worked as a plug-and-play replacement in some locations but not in others. I did notice that, while the description mentions that it is a vertical product replacement for any G(x)24-q socket bulb, the product itself, on the back of the tube, mentions that it is a "DIRECT REPLACEMENT for 26W/8T4/G24q-3 LAMPS ONLY". Sure enough, where it failed to work I had had GX24q-2 CFL bulbs. It is frustrating to be undone by a bad product description: in October 2019, the product description lists the item as a plug-n-play replacement for G24q sockets in general. That is clearly wrong.

Strongly recommend this Sunlite LED bulb replacement for 26W Halogens
These Sunlite 88275-SU LED PLD Light Bulb 9 Watts (26W Equivalent) bulbs are a fantastic replacement for the halogens that were in my garage carriage lights. They are significantly and consistently brighter while having power savings during their life and a longer lifespan. What more could I ask of such a bulb?Note, these LED bulbs have a swivel. If your carriage lights are like mine, the sockets are facing different directions and I initially thought I was not going to be able to use these bulbs as a result since they are directional (meaning they have a front and a back). Then I realized it turned once in the socket... I cannot recommend these highly enough.

Do not buy, review updated
Bought two of these to replace the burnt out PL-C 26W bulbs in my outdoor dusk to dawn lights. The bulbs fit perfectly and work with the ballast. This was ideal as they are both high near the roof and I did not want to have to take apart and rewire the fixture.Update: Bulbs only lasted a couple of days. When I removed them they smell of burnt electronics. Sadly I am reordering the original CFL type and hoping the ballasts still work. I would not recommend this product at all.
