Don’t run, good wifi 6 system!
I bought this to take advantage of my full internet connection speed. I’m getting 460Mbps next to the router which I’m pretty damn happy with. I read the reviews after I ordered and figured I was just gonna send it right back since so many people struggled. However, my setup was easy (although kind of long) and the speeds are great. Also, I’m getting great coverage in my 3,300 sq ft 2 story block home out of just 2 nodes. I don’t know what everyone is complaining about. These things are great! If you want to know more, read on.I pay for and get 500/500 fiber internet when tethered at the modem. With my Linksys Velop wifi 5 mesh system (3 nodes) I was getting max 200Mbps standing next to the wireless router. I was also experiencing dead spots around the house. Stubborn ones where even when a node reading 200Mbps was in the next room I still had issues. Bottom line is I can’t manage two fantasy football teams and give my wife advice on her team while I’m on the can when my bathroom is a wifi dead spot! So this system came up “used - good condition” for a fair price and I decided to give it a go. I mean, I don’t care if my wifi routers have cosmetic damage greater than 1 inch.Setup was a little slow, but easy. Biggest problem was that I didn’t realize there’s a difference between router and satellite. Hook the one with 2 Ethernet ports to your modem. The single Ethernet port is the satellite. Updates took awhile but all good. Tested around the house, now I’m getting 460 down standing next to the router, totally acceptable to me. Btw, that’s on an iPhone 11 Pro which has a wifi 6 card. Make sure you test with something that is wifi 6 enabled. System only has two nose and I’m getting at worst to 170 Mbps in the farthest corners of my house. So this is a great buy. I think other users are just not doing it right. I don’t know, but don’t runaway from a good system at a good price. I highly recommend buying used on a product like this.

Great value, Easy Setup, Solid Performance
For those who are unable or not ready to upgrade to Orbi, this may be the next best option. I needed a quick, yet solid and somewhat modern solution to pair well with a Nighthawk CM2050V Xfinity modem with voice services. This solution provided me the Wifi 6 platform that I wanted for modern Wifi devices in our home ecosystem and the flexibility to segment our IoT and computer devices from Guest Access. So far, I am pleased with the performance and consistency that we needed. This serves as the interim solution until symetrical fiber is deployed to our community in the forthcoming year. The coverage and connect speeds are good in any room of our 2,000 square foot home. The router and satellite are small and were easily hidden out of view while maintaining a good signal throughout the single-story building. I don't see a need for an addition satellite at this time, as signal strength is excellent.

Just what we needed!
This product was just what we needed. As you know getting internet into a metal building can be a challenge, but not with the NET Nighthawk DB Wifi 6 Mesh System. Just plug it in to your existing modem, download the app, plug in the Satellite, and follow the way easy instructions and viola! It works…with the doors closed even! I like how I can set up a secure username and password, share that with my guests and all while keeping my main home internet username and password private. With this system I can have it all. It really has met my need and I am very happy with the results!

An affordable, minimalist mesh WiFi system.
I bought this unit to replace an aging Orbi system which finally died. When the Orbi worked it was great, but it was expensive and prone to having issues and so I wanted something simpler and more affordable. Also, the Orbis are great but I think they’re also a bit overkill for the average home user and I wanted something with fewer features I’ll never use. Setup for the Nighthawk was very similar to Orbi but was also much faster due to more recent, faster hardware. Configuration changes and associated reboots are much quicker than before. I use Ethernet backhaul and so I don’t need the extra WiFi band for that, allowing me to opt for the less expensive dual-band system. I was using an old router in AP mode as an Ethernet switch for my network, which worked fine with the Orbi, but the new Nighthawk simply could not connect to its satellite through this old router via Ethernet. This is apparently a known issue and replacing the old router with a simple unmanaged switch resolved the issue. I love how small, lightweight, and tastefully designed the nodes are; they’re easy to hide and fit well among other modern electronics.Unfortunately, I have to return this kit. I wanted simple but this MK62 kit is missing some crucial functionality. Specifically, the roaming is too sticky; my phones and other devices will not roam between access points when appropriate, with the result being that I’m constantly having to restart the WiFi on my devices in order for them to connect to the best access point in order to have usable WiFi. The system is supposed to manage this automatically but it isn’t, for whatever reason, and so this unit isn’t meeting my needs. The Orbi system I replaced had a feature you could enable in settings called Fast Roaming, which supposedly addresses this issue, but the MK62 has nothing similar. Other (more expensive) systems not only have this feature but let you adjust the sensitivity so I’ll have to go with one of those. It’s too bad because I really want to like this system. If you want ultra simple mesh WiFi with little-to-no customization at a good price, this is for you, but if your situation doesn’t perfectly match what this kit is designed for it probably won’t be a good fit.
