This connected exactly how I needed it. Very easy to use even if you do not know anything about the fuses. My best recommendation is to find the fuse diagram online of your vehicle and locate the cigarette lighter fuse and use the inline connector that comes with the kit. Take out the fuse you are going to use in its place, and put it in the lower slot of the inline connector, then put the fuse of 5A fuse that comes with the kit in the top slot of the inline connector. Run your wires and walla! Easy peasy! I used it for my rear view mirror camera and worked perfectly.

This kit is OK, but not the best for newer vehicles in my opinion. It did however get the job done.Vehicle: 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4Camera: Nexar BeamPros: Plenty of wire, multiple fuse options, good price, worksCons: My truck does not have many ignition fuses, it is mostly all constant power fuses or delayed shut off fuses which made it quite difficult to find a fuse to use. Once I did find the correct fuse, it was one of those 3 prong fuses that this kit cannot tap into. Instead I ended up cutting the bullet connector off the end and crimped on a female spade connector and ended up using a spare spade terminal in the passenger side fuse box that ended up being ignition power. That is just what I wanted as I want all power cut upon shutdown and power supplied when I power on the truck.In the end, the kit did the job, but I needed to be innovative.

Loved how easy it was to wire everything up. I’ve used fuse taps before and having to solder up under the dash while everything is wired in place is difficult. The connections made it very easy. I love that it came with different size fuse taps depending on where you want to use it. I also like that it had a mini and micro usb option. Just wish it had a usb type c but I bought an adapter that took care of that. Plenty of length in the wiring. All in all good product. I will be buying another once I get a dash cam for my other car.

Good product price and quality

This fuse box wiring kit was extremely easy to install. I used it with my Apeman dash cam and installed it in my 2016 VW Tiguan. I found the fuse box wiring diagram online and found the accessories/12v power adapter (cigarette lighter) fuse (fuse 31 in my case, 20 amp fuse). The adapters that it comes with are easy to install. You install the right size fuse it comes with in the lower connectors and then place the fuse from the fuse box in the upper connectors, then plug that adapter back into the fuse socket. I was done in about 15 minutes, but most of that was running the wire along the roof/window and down the driver side A pillar. I would buy again if I have a need.

The advertised low battery shut off protection does not work, as mentioned by other reviewers. I didn't start my car for just about 4 days and my car battery was dead. It would probably be ok if you connected this to a fuse that's powered only when the vehicle is on, but if you want your dashcam to be powered when your car is off to use features like parking monitor on your dashcam, I strongly suggest you get something else.
