Medline - NON134000 Pill Crushers

I've tried just about every pill crusher made as I have a collapsed esophagus valve and can not swallow pills, (or anything not mashed or liquid) even pills as small as aspirin. One prescription I have is a very large pill, very hard, very dense and have broken several crushers in attempting to crush this into powder, which I have to do 3 times daily.. I have attached photos of how well this works (BLUE LID) compared to another brand I recently bought( RED LID). The other pill crusher I purchased took my full body weight, pushing down on it to crush the pill but It takes several attempts to get it to even break apart and I have broken 2 of these trying! . I went to visit my sister and forgot to pack my pill crusher, her husband handed me this brand to use and I was so afraid my muscle relaxer pill was going to break it because it's so small! I couldn't believe that just ONE revolution of what I call the "wings" that are on the cap to turn the lid, crushed that horse pill into powder!! No more pushing, repeated twisting, just one easy turn is all it takes, I couldn't believe it! I immediately went to Amazon and ordered one for myself and one for my husband. It's compact, it's unbelievably powerful and SO EASY to use with absolutely no effort whatsoever!! I rarely get excited about writing a review but I'm so very impressed at the performance of this tiny pill crusher, plus if you're a senior like I am with arthritis and weak wrists, you'll be very happy with this!! In addition, the lid holds several pills to take with you!

Perfect for crushing my smart @$$ senior dogs daily pill... lifesaver actually. She could sniff her pill out of a filet mignon... she’d eat around it and leave the pill! (Yes I tried all her favorite foods) Then I had to force it down her throat until she figured out I was waiting for her to swallow. Then she’d mimic a swallow noise, like a two year old reluctantly swallowing their peas, I’d tell her what a good girl she was and when I let go of her she’d spit the pill out at me and run away (I could hear the laughter as she ran “suckah!”). Now I just crush it in this magical device and mix it in her wet food and life is heavenly again.

Very pleased with this purchase. I have to crush pills several times a day and this does the trick. 4 pills works perfectly. You won’t be disappointed with the product.

Works very well for small to medium pills, not so great for large pills, I do those in 2 steps. Break the pill in half, and crush each half separately, then its OK. The larger pills keep the threads from engaging properly when screwing the lid down, so half and half solves that problem. Also, the wings on the lid could be a little bigger, difficult pills need more leverage than those little wings.

We are using this to inject dissolved ground medications directly into a patient's abdomen via a J-tube. This requires that the meds be ground to a powder and completely dissolved in water. This product is better than the pill crusher provided by our home-care provider, but it does leave small, insoluble chunks, so I still need to follow up with mortar & pestle.

Very easy for most pills. We were going to try it on a bigger, thicker pill, but when we felt resistance, we knew to quit so that we don't break the pill crusher. It's perfect for most pills though. Just a tip, don't over-twist in trying to twist all the way down, but check on your pill before that in case it's fine the way it is without any more twisting, or if you have to redistribute some pieces to the center. When I'm done twisting, I had to scrape off some of the powder out of the center too.

Our dog has to take heart medicine every day and crushing the pills so she can handle taking her pills was a struggle. This little device was a great discovery. If you need to crush pills on a regular basis, this is worth the cost.

I ended up purchasing this to help me give my stubborn cat his medication when he was sick. It has been so helpful because many of his pills can be crushed and added to food rather than me trying to get him to swallow it. This pill crusher is very easy to use and does all the work for you. Because it breaks it down so well it’s been harder for my cat to detect it and I’m so glad he doesn’t have to fight me anymore.
