Great pack with tons of storage
I purchased this pack for my 11 year old son for a weekend backpacking trip. The pack was a perfect fit for his size (5 feet, 90 pounds). The sternum height adjustment fit his size perfectly, and the overall size of the pack was a good fit for him with the weight distributed evenly. There is plenty of storage for a sleeping bag, food, water and a change of clothes for a two or three day trip. I didn't try adding a tent to the pack, but it would be a very tight squeeze. The internal compartment has a zippered divider about 2/3 of the way down. This bottom section can be accessed through the top by opening the zippered divider, or the outside bottom of the pack through a zipper. This is a great feature because you don't have to pull everything out of the top to gain access to bottom of the main compartment. There was plenty of small storage compartments for food, water bottles, etc.. Plus the pack included a rain cover that is stored in a dedicated compartment on the bottom of the pack. The pack is light weight, but the material and stitching seem very durable. Overall a great pack for big kids or small adults.

Amazing Pack!
I was looking for a good day or two day pack. the price was right and the other reviews were good so i bought it. I was going to give it a 4 due to shipping but when i contacted the seller regarding the length of time it was taking, they expedited to 3 day at no charge. This pack has a sturdy internal frame, over sized #10 zippers, large storage compartments and a side pocket to allow easy access to the main compartment without having to take everything out first. the material is good quality for the cost and made of rip stop material. Lots of external pockets for organizing your gear. I have a fairly large -15 degree Marmot sleeping bag that fits comfortably in the sleeping bag compartment. After i loaded all my gear,(about 35 lbs) i put the bag on the adjust it. It took about 4 minutes to fit correctly. I'm 5'9" 195 lbs and this bag was comfortable. lots of breathing room between the bag and torso. I went on a short 1 mile hike to see how it felt. It was perfect. I would recommend this bag to anyone starting out or who is on a budget like me. I am very pleased.

Sternum strap completely pops off and slides around, hurts my shoulders. Probably going to return for something else...
I'll start off by saying that I'm a 6ft, 170lbs male. This pack fits my waste very well, the padding on the hips and shoulders are very soft and comfortable. The included rain fly is nice, the sleeping back compartment is a bit small but fit my 40 degree bag after a couple of minutes of compressing. There are however, some serious problems with this pack. The sternum strap which is advertised as being adjustable moves much too freely. It slides up and down with no way of locking it into place. This means that as I hiked the strap would often slide up close to my neck and I had to keep pulling it down. Twice during a two day hike it actually slid up so far that it popped off the track entirely, which meant I had to stop and fiddle with it to get it back into place. Another problem I had with this pack is a lack of pockets or compartments. The top compartment is nice for my lightweight necessities, and the back zipped pocket worked for my inflatable sleeping pad and mess kit. However that's it. I had to keep things like my toilet paper and trowel in the place between the back pouch and the body, which you can compress down, but it is still open which risks things falling out if you fall over of duck too low. A additional pocket or two along the sides would have made this pack better for holding things like bug spray and sunscreen as well. Overall I think I am going to return this pack. The sternum strap is really a deal breaker for me. No matter how I adjusted the straps I never felt like the weight was sitting on my hips enough. My shoulders constantly hurt, which I have never experienced with another pack before. I had high hopes for this bag but ultimately it didn't live up to them.

Update: Great Customer Service. Nice Bag!
I bought this backpack for my son's first camping trip instead of the $30 one recommended by other Scout parents at Wal-Mart. The Titan 55 had great reviews and I didn't want a cheapo backpack that was going to fall apart. So, I decided to splurge a little. Although the Titan 55 has a decent amount of space and lots of convenient features, I cannot give it more than 2 stars. The thing is ripping already and we just finished packing it. It is ripping where one of the cinch straps meets the pack. We even watched a video on how to do it correctly. I have severe arthritis in my hands and know I didn't pull too hard. Anyway, I am very disappointed. I would have expected this from the Wal-Mart pack, but not this one. My son is leaving for his trip early tomorrow morning. So, there is no time for a replacement. Hope the rest of the pack holds up for his trip. I really expected better quality than this for the money. Update: 8/2/13 Amazon responded to my feedback by sending me out a new bag without me even asking. It did not make it in time for my son's camping trip. But, it was a nice gesture and made me feel better knowing I wasn't being stuck spending this much money on a bag that was ripped before it was ever used. My son made it home from the camping trip and the bag made it in one piece. The original tear got a little larger and there was a new tear in the bottom of the outside hinge pocket. Apparently, this bag is susceptible to ripping if pushed anywhere near it's limits. With the new bag, I will make sure we don't fill any one section more than 85% full or so as to avoid ripping it. The seams are a little weak. But, it is large enough to carry most anything you will need and there are a good amount of pockets to separate things. The bottom section was not large enough for my son's sleep cell sleeping bag. So, he carried it, and his sleeping mat, attached on the outside. I understand that he would have a much smaller sleeping bag if he were actually backpacking with this back rather than using it to pack for a camping trip at a camping site. Overall, I am satisfied with the bag. But, more so, I am completely satisfied with the customer service I received from Amazon. It's not every day a company satisfies it's customers proactively without the customer even asking for a remedy or resolution.

This is a great pack, especially for the price. I was a little disappointed though, after reading the positive reviews here, when I broke one of the buckles on my first serious trip.

This is my first backpack in my life, and it was the amazing election. It's comfortable, adjustable, and proportional the quality-price.
