This gaiter is perfect for any temps around freezing. It's very thin and very warm. The polypro LIFA technology that Helly Hansen has created is amazing. Note that the orange section is to be worn at the base of your neck. It also makes a great neck warmer if you don't need to cover your face. You'll be able to breathe easily while still being warm when it's freezing. Very highly recommend this gaiter - it's excellent. As always, Helly Hansen never disappoints - their gear is absolutely the best there is.

Listing should say Merino/Polypropylene Blend, or at least Merino Blend. Merino means merino, 100%, and this is not. It's also surprisingly thin.Polypropylene is notorious for developing a stink that won't wash out, and does not perform anywhere near as well as Merino wool. It does not keep you as warm in cold weather, yet causes you to overheat faster when the weather warms up. It has a much narrower useful comfort range.I was sent a much darker, almost blackout camouflage than the green camo shown, and without the blaze orange stripe. Sending it back today. Ordered a Meriwool brand gaiter from Amazon at the same time as this that is thick, 100% merino at around the same price that I recommend instead.
