READ THIS BEFORE BUYING! (Better Barbell suggestions in Comment)
I ordered quite a bit of these (20 in bulk, I'm afraid) for a fitness studio I am currently in the works of opening. Things are tight right now, and this company had some solid looking reviews for the price. I had these stored in a closed garage for a bit while things came together, and these bars have been in ORIGINAL PACKAGING and UNUSED. The moment I took the first out of the sleeve, there was rust powder all over the inside, and the bar was completely corroded. I am bummed to say, that this goes for every single bar I have ordered. I tried to return them, or at least exchange for a non-rusted replacement, but they will not accept after 30-days, which is likely around the time when your bar WILL RUST after moderate use.*** The danger here is the aggressively deep knurling is guaranteed to cut your neck, and with the amount of rusting on the bar, I cannot, in good conscience, allow my clients to use these bars. I am now having to buy all new barbells before opening. ( I know, DUMB. You'd be dumber to make the same mistake.) ***I really can't say I have ever written a poor review, but I feel it is important for SOMEONE to see this, and to look into the many other reputable alternatives out on the net.Check out ARCHON or FRAY FITNESS Cerakote barbells. A premium and resistant barbell for literally about $30 more, which pays for itself considering you will go through 5+ of these in weeks due to corrosion, before buying one of these alternatives, ANYWAY! (I burned 20...)I hope this helps someone just trying to cut through the bulls***, like I was, looking for a good bar, at a fair price. I can PROMISE you that whatever you think your saving, it is NOT WORTH IT!!!PLEASE, have some respect for your body (gouging your neck with rusted knurling)And respect your gym!!!Spend the extra $30-$40 (the cost of just 3 freaking beers at a bar) get the barbell you deserve.

Not an intermediate bar as advertised.
I have had the bar for 3 weeks. This bar bent after deadlifting 315 5x10, and pause squatting high bar 225x5, 245x5, 265x5, and 295x5. It bent while i was in the hole during pause squats. This is a good bar for people who are new to lifting, but i dont think this is an intermediate bar as advertised. Very dissapointed.

Well I definately have and could not be happier. But not to get off topic
Let me start by saying that this rating is based on the cost compared to what you get. This is my first bar bell (and so far still my only one) and at first I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend 2 or 3 hundred dollars on a bar because honestly I didn't know if I would even stick to lifting. Well I definately have and could not be happier. But not to get off topic, this is an excellent 1st bar. If your like me and are just getting into lifting and setting up your home gym, this bar is perfect. Well perfect for that situation anyway. When it arrived it was straight, weighed 44.6 pounds, and the ends spun adequately. 4 months later and it seems to be exactly the same. It has taken 400 pound dead lifts like a champ and not bent at all. I also droped it once with about 200 pounds on it onto the concrete floor (not bumper plates) and there seems to be no ill affect. About the only bad thing I have noticed is that the knurling could be just a bit more aggressive. And the sections are not perfectly spaced. By that I mean if you use the rings for centering you may be a bit off. I measure all the knurling and rings and found about some spots to be 1/2 to 3/4 inch off from center. I used some electrical tape to mark true center on those areas. It's just something to be aware of.

Huge fan of the color
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. ย Not sure why other people are not fans of the Black barbell vs the chrome, I love the way it makes my bench look. Was sort of skeptical about the delivery because of the weight and since its a barbell, handling it could be tough. Very impressed by the packaging it had two layers the outer cardboard and a plastic sleeve under that; was expecting a few dings here and there but had no noticeable marks. Another great thing about this item is the barbell comes in 1 piece not like 3 pieces Walmart has. Per the instructions it comes coated in some rust prevention oil and just says to clean off with dishwasher soap. I bought the 7 footer and can confirm the weight and length of this item too.

Solid bar to begin with
I can't honestly find a lot to complain about with this bar. It weighs exactly 45 pounds, the ends spin freely and it arrived in pretty good shape. The knurling is a bit rough, I could see it chewing your hands up if you're not used to it.The packaging left a little to be desired, though I can't say I have a better idea of how to ship one of these things. Arrived with a few minor dings and had some small areas that were left unpainted. Just cosmetic stuff though. I can see this bar easily lasting me 5+ years assuming I still have skin on my hands.

Cheap bar will not last
Cheap barbells like this with the bolt-on collars always fail before long. The bolt on the one I received had backed out just from shipping. I tightened it and, after a few times of just spinning the collar, it was already loose again. Inevitably the bolt will start to shear with use and it will never get tight again. I went through 4 of these types of bars when I started lifting because mine had a warranty. Should have learned my lesson then. I bought a Texas Power Bar- a few hundred dollars more but I'll never need another.

Good training bar at a reasonable price
Not an Eleiko bar, but pretty good for one fifth of the price. The bar came with a coating of oil on it - which had to be removed with degreaser. After doing this and applying some chalk the bar has decent grip without being too abrasive. The caps feel solid in use, although they make a little noise when placing the weighted bar on the ground. The cap bearings spin about what you'd expect for a powerlifting bar, but might be a little tight if you're using it for olympic lifts.Bar has some flex without feeling springy (for the weights that I'm doing).Overall, a pretty decent bar for under $200. Obviously not a competition bar, but good enough for training.
