product is made out of recycled, rubber and new rubber. odor overpowering it needs to be vented!
The advertisement says this product is good for indoor outdoor. They were applied to my basement stairs where I have 2 - 50 gallon power vent natural gas water heaters. The odor coming off of the rubber mats was extremely pungent and set off the flammable vapor sensors on both tanks and shut my hot water tanks down! If using this product indoor, I recommend laying them outside for several days for the odor to go away before installing them inside your home!

Heavy Duty
When I ordered these treads, I expected them to be them thin, old-fashioned, cheap kind. When I received the box which had two sets of these in it, it was so heavy I could barely lift it. I purchased these for the back stairs in my hallway because I have tenants going up and down the stairs, and I wanted something new and clean. These treads were very heavy duty. They were also bigger than I had thought. They were really too deep for my stairs, but I really believe that they’re kind of meant for outdoor use. I ended up measuring and trimming them with scissors and instead of using double stick tape, the tenants are really rough on them, I took little black tack and nailed them down. So far so good, and I like the look of them.

Great Product
These arrived in good packaging and good condition. They hold up very well! The only suggestion I have is that it would be nice to have had some strong/good 2 sided tape to use so they couldn't move around. We used carpet tape on them and it worked much better. We no longer catch the 'fold over' piece with our toes and they stay in place very well. It would have been nice for that to have been included. Product is made well, but you definitely need the tape to secure them.

Do not recommend
These smell absolutely terrible and within a few months they break down and get very gummy and stain your shoes and indoor carpet. I had 3 in my garage for a few months that I didn’t even get to use bc they were so gummy
