As a Digital Artist: Absolutely Would Recommend
Let me just preface this review by saying that I am not hugely experienced in the world of digital art tablets. I've mostly drawn traditionally.I have done both digital and traditional art, but the only tablet I ever had to do the digital art on was the Ipad (which is not really a great option for most applications).I bought this tablet after seeing another artist on youtube give it a decent review. The biggest considerations I had when buying a tablet were price and the ability to give me a level up from my current digital art technique.I have now received and tested this product, and here's what I thought.Firstly, shipping was much quicker than I expected. It came somewhat earlier than the expected delivery date, which was very nice. Secondly, it was packaged very well. It comes in the standard Amazon box, with the standard Huion product packaging box still within that. The double box layer made me happy to see, because I'm always a bit wary with shipping of electronic items. It was protected and dry, even though I had to carry it in the rain from my car to my apartment (somewhat of a distance). The package comes with the tablet itself, a USB cable to connect to the computer, a pen, a pen holder, a battery for the pen, and some replacement nibs. My only complaint with these extra items was that the pen seemed to slide out of the pen holder somewhat easily (unless I'm doing something wrong, which is quite possible) but this should be fine since most will probably set their pens on a desk or something.Setup: This tablet was very easy for me to setup. I have Windows ten, which isn't even listed in the manual as a compatible operating system (too new? The manual lists systems up to Windows 8) so I was somewhat wary of problems installing the drivers, as some other reviewers did mention. However, the drivers installed quickly and with no problems. To install them, you just insert the disc that comes with the package and follow the screen prompts. Even if your computer is set up not to automatically read inserted discs or such, the manual gives very clear instructions for how to open the folder from Windows explorer and includes pictures to help. Once drivers were installed, I could plug in the tablet and start it up.Usage: I have drawn a few pictures with this tablet so far, to get used to the change from an ipad to a graphics tablet. The difference is huge. This tablet is very sensitive to pressure and I can vary my line weight so much more than I could on the ipad. I use it with Paint Tool Sai, and it seems to work very well with the program. The writing is smooth, and seems somewhat like writing on paper. The only possible downside to this tablet (and perhaps other tablets as well, although I've never used another professional graphics tablet) is that that pen tends to squeak a bit on the tablet surface if pulled a certain way or pressed harder. I don't really notice the noise though because I usually wear headphones and listen to music when I'm drawing.Overall, this tablet is fantastic so far. No problems with setup, good packaging, and easy to use. I was able to get used to it within a couple of hours. It's so much better than the ipad, and the price is very good, especially compared to the more expensive Wacom. If you're an artist just getting into digital art, or wanting to step up your game if you're like me and draw on an ipad, I would definitely make this purchase. This tablet is a good size for transportation, easy to setup and use, and provides smooth drawing. Absolutely would recommend.

A little difficult to use, but a good product for the price.
Review by Nic's wife.I purchased this to aid in hand-sketching and graphic design, and in some aspects, it's been disappointing. It never seems to work the same way twice. One day, I have to press until my hand hurts to get a line, and that line is jittery. The next, the pen barely brushes against the tablet, and a thick opaque line appears. Its unpredictability has caused my problems- I'm unsure whether it's a computer issue, or an issue with it handling differently depending how much battery is left in the pen, or what. Still trying to figure it out, so I can get uniform results. I've adjusted the settings, tried using different graphics programs, still no change in the behavior of the tablet.I do most of my sketching in Gimp, rather than in photoshop, and there's a few rough spots to the integration with gimp. For instance, if I want a hard erase and use the mouse to do it, rather than pushing harder on the tablet, when I bring the pen back to the tablet, it switches tools back to whichever one I was using before I used the mouse to pick up the eraser and work. Or it'll change the color the brush is using away from whatever color I selected with the mouse. Just little weird things like that that make it difficult to set up a solid work flow. Also, the tablet does not work with Linux, at least not the linux system we use. Rather than creating smooth lines, it would stamp the brush over and over, roughly. My computer seems to freak out if I am working on the tablet for more than an hour at a time, so if you need to work for hours at a time, you may want to be cautious in buying this tablet. Or you may have a better computer than me, and it may not be a problem. To be honest, this is the first drawing tablet I've owned, so I can't compare its performance, or my computer's performance, to other ones to know where the problem lies.It bothers me that there's no kind of indicator on the pen to show whether it is on. To be on the safe side, I've taken to unscrewing the pen whenever I put the tablet up, just to make sure I still have battery to come back to. That indicator would also be helpful for figuring out when a battery is dying, when the pen is off, and when the computer is just glitching and not recording all information reliably. At any rate, this is a dandy tool, and well worth the price, but be prepared to adjust your drawing style depending on how the tablet seems to be working at any given time, and definitely unscrew the pen so you can for sure tell that it's off.

Ganz OK
Guter Grafiktablett.
