What are the dimensions of this when folded?

It depends on how many times it is folded, and how tightly it will be stored. Inside the manufacture's bag, the dimensions are approximately (LxWxH) 10in x 5.5in x 1.75in. For everyday use with the velcro seal, the dimensions are approximately 12in x 8.5in x 1 inch. I hope that helps.

Can it be washed in the machine?

No. It's not designed to be machine washed.

Is there a bigger size version of this? This seems very narrow.

Not sure. But works for my baby and she’s almost 2– but the size of a 3 year old.

How padded is the portable changing pad?

I received a white changing pad and I love it but it's not like the one shown above and its not portable.
