The Military Issue Large ALICE Pack has over 2200 cubic inches of space. It can carry loads up to 70lbs. It has a total of six external pockets and one main compartment. This listing is for the pack only, NO FRAME OR SHOULDER STRAPS INCLUDED. Genuine ArmyGear! Review: Blackhawk Surplus is Genuine Brand New G.I. - I ordered a Brand New one from Blackhawk Surplus. It is indeed genuine United States General Issue. Plus, it's as brand spankin new as can possibly be, like fresh off of the factory line. Shipping was quick. The Large All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment Pack was / sort of still is, a hallmark of the Infantry. I've heard it can withstand a direct nuclear blast. Just like the one I bought decades ago at the base P/X aboard Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Or maybe it was one of the Grunt bases aboard Okinawa. Can't remember for sure. Pure, undiluted awesomeness. Only if I new about the LBT, Inc. AFESS LBT-2168E back then. It has transformed my entire existence when humping tons of gear around. If you want brand new, and speedy shipping, buy from Blackhawk Surplus! Very happy customer here! Semper Fidelis!! Review: Good Pack, but a little disappointed. - The pack arrived very quickly, as described, but when I opened it up to check the interior, the inside-top had a white chalky looking substance all over the rubberized coating. I put a drop of Dawn dishwashing liquid in a little warn water and used a wash cloth to wipe the chalky stuff away. Unfortunately, the rubber coating underneath the white stuff started peeling away too. I emailed the seller, and he said that the chalky stuff was just talcum powder and that it should have just wiped off - I don't know why the pack top had talcum powder on it, and it looked more like mildew to me. The seller said that he would replace it if I paid to ship it back. I decided that I would just keep the pack and try to patch the damaged areas with a liquid rubber sealant. It's still a good pack, but I am a little disappointed that just a little soap and water would have such a damaging effect. I don't know what that means for how the pack will last with actual use.

Good Pack, but a little disappointed.

GOT ROOM FOR AN ELEPHANT?
I am a man of nostalgia and since I am a former active duty Marine I thought this would bring back memories and make a good BOB or camping gear. Well much to my surprise I got brand new unissued official GI gear I thought I was getting used crap. Bought the A.L.I.C.E pack frame which I got brand new, unissued, GI PERFECT condition as well and have loved it!!!!! I seriously think this LARGE Alice pack was designed for a two week stint in the field, since as a novice prepper maybe my lack of stuff to put in there was my fault. But if you need to bug out fast make sure you know how to pack and you can get a lot of stuff in the LARGE alice pack but would recommend buying the frame to go with it. To be honest I can't remember if in 1985 when I went through boot if we had the medium (that's my guess) but I think they came already with frames----i think? But to the seasoned or amateur prepper this pack is a must. IF I CAN LOOK ON YOUTUBE AND FIGURE OUT HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE ALICE PACK TO THE FRAME ANYONE CAN DO IT. The seller was awesome and he sold me what is equipment that has never been used, though to be honest I am not sure if everyone gets new gear or used.

Very nice pack and it was delivered in new condition just ...
Very nice pack and it was delivered in new condition just as the seller described it to be. Great stitching and weight of fabric used unlike some of the other brands of Alice packs I've come across that didn't feel like they'd live up to the abuse/use that a field pack of this sort should. A real quality piece for a good price

terrible mistake
terrible no description about product, i did not know if i was going to get the frame with it or not. so they did not put a frame with it, but the picture shows the bag with frame. so i think over all terrible.

Love it!
This item is great i gave it a 4 because there are looks to be limestone rock stains all over the inside. and you'll need the frame for it as well or you'll be carrying it by hand which would not be fun. i knew it was a used item but surprised how well the condition was.... go ahead and buy it, it has alot of room and fits everything plus more than what i use to have in my other bug out bag. now two great bug outs for my house and vehicle.

Good pack, but in terrible condition even for something that I bought knowing it was pre-owned
I didn't give this item 2 stars because it's a bad pack. In fact it's a great pack that has an enormous amount of space and is incredibly comfortable when you use it with an Alice pack frame. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the condition the pack came in. I understand it's used and I don't mind the fact that it's so damn salty looking. But straps were obviously cut and some buckles/fasteners were missing as well. You can't leave things like that out of the description and call it "good."
