Interesting Book
I bought the book because I was worried that my daughter was lacking manners. As I started reading it, I realize that I was also lacking more manners than I realized. I was taught many of the subjects in the book when I was young but definitely stopped practicing as an adult. It’s very important to raise children with manners and we’ve been all working on this book in our house. This book covers some important aspects of manners and then there are a few unnecessary additions, but all in all it’s a good book for acceptable public behavior.

Delightful and well written.
I bought it for my granddaughter and can't wait for her to read it. She asked for a book to give her a polished personality and ensure she is doing things correctly.

quite helpful
Her simple approach makes etiquette seem less daunting. It will be fun to practice. Time to get out the nice China!

AMAZING BOOK!!! Highly Recommended. My Thoughts....
Simply put, this book is AMAZING. Packed with practical and useable everyday advice in a fun and enjoyable manner, I found myself constantly ear-tagging, underlying, and taking pages of notes that I have been implementing in my everyday work and social life.Yes, the book comprehensively covers all things formal dining etiquette, and Myka Meier presents the content in a concise way that is entertaining and in-tune with today’s times. However, what I really loved most about this book was the advice given beyond the dining room. Some of my favorite topics covered include the chapters on Charisma, "Turning Heads,” and “How to Be Likable,” where Myka completely dissects how to make the best first impressions through her “7 in 7” Theory, how to become the most charismatic person in any room by applying The Meier Method for Charisma, and how to be the most coveted party guest using her “ADBA Method.”The book also covers a broad range of useful topics such as how to have more engaging conversations, tips on personal branding, what to bring to a dinner party (hint..the two items NOT to bring may surprise you!), and how to write memorable thank you letters (even how to pick the best stationery), among many, many other tips.Bottom-line, this book gives well beyond its value and provides incredibly helpful and practical everyday advice that I will be using for years to come. I would highly recommend this book for both men & women, professionals, teens/young adults, high school, and college grads. My only complaint- I wish I had this book 20 years ago!

BEST book on etiquette out there!!! Highly recommended!!!!!!
I had been waiting for this book to be released since December 2019 and I had already placed my order in anticipation. The book is super cute and the size is perfect for my handbag. I have not finished reading it yet, but so far I'm loving it!!! I like the colorful pictures and all the tips for different settings you might encounter in the real world. The author is extensively educated on this subject and to top it off, she even went to the famous Swiss Finishing School which is like the holy grail of etiquette training (we're talking many weeks of intensive schooling). Also, she was offering etiquette training classes in New York for before the pandemic hit. I've always been interested in etiquette and manners, not to mention that we can all polish ourselves from time to time, and I have to say that this is the best book I've encountered on the subject. I've read other books of this kind at the library since my teen years, but nothing compares to this lovely book. I disagreed with some other etiquette books because some of the advice was either outdated or just plain boring and/or ridiculous. Yet I find myself agreeing with just about everything in this book (smile!) -- it's like the fresh breath of air that was needed on this subject b/c it is so relatable!!! Besides it is a fun read and the author seems like a very interesting and charismatic person. I will update my review once I'm done reading (I'm half-way). Definitely one for the coffee table great read!!!

Everyone Should Read This!
I have read several etiquette books and this one is the best! It goes over everything and has a touch of humor in the writing style which keeps it from being boring. This book is witty and empowering. The best and not expected part of this book was a large portion dedicated to charisma and confidence. Both are topics that can help anyone who usually shies away from social interactions but needs it to propel them in business.

Reads more like a memoir
This book is light on the etiquette and long on personal anecdotes. Terri Morrison and Emily Post do it better.I love learning about etiquette, customs, and protocol and was well aware of Myka Meier and her Beaumont School long before this book came out. While she has become something of a press darling, I've always found her a bit contrived and inauthentic. She does have good things to say about a modern approach to living.I decided to give her book a read to learn more about her approach to modern etiquette. It is a witty and quick read but it doesn't delve too deeply into etiquette standards, behaviours, and methods. In other words, there isn't much to actually learn about etiquette. She does tell personal stories, which can be inconsistent with her previous press (she sells herself as royalty-adjacent, which, she is not), as a means of illustrating her point. Her approach is cute and light-hearted. Unfortunately, the book is filled with grammatical errors and misidentified laws and theories. Nevertheless, it is a fun read and does offer some insights for the young generation.Modern Etiquette Made Easy is a great gift for a sweet sixteen. Anyone interested in actual etiquette should read Terri Morrison, Emily Post, Tiffany's Guide, or Letitia Baldrige.
