Amazing tool, I am a TV aerial installer and run cables in cavities, which usually takes a while to line up where to drill this locates where to drill holes (see pics) was able to find where to drill into a cavity in seconds, drop a cable rod down to fish a cable through, also used it to drill precise holes through walls without blowing the brick Has speeded up my day no end, no more measuring from loft hatches and guessing where to drill through, love it

I bought this to locate two wire runs for ethernet cable. It worked exceedingly well in lining up locations through drywall. It also worked through 3/4 inch hard wood flooring and 1 1/2 of subflooring to locate lines from the basement. I do almost all my projects without help so this takes a lot of guess work out of where exactly to be cutting holes in your house

This thing just works.

The first job for this was to locate a wall that did not have a wall cap in the attic above. I stuck the emitter in the corner on the ceiling and went up above with the receiver. After I pinpointed the location, I measured 2" to the side and crossed my fingers for good luck as I drilled a hole. I landed exactly inside the wall cavity. It was perfect. I've used it a few times since then. When you need it, I can't imagine a substitute. It would be nice if the receiver had a hard off switch rather than a soft off. I'm not always certain when it is off, and the beeping mode is usually a nuisance.

This product is good for electrician. It is very easy to use.

Worked exactly as described. Had a few projects requiring holes drilled through concrete walls/floors, roof, ceiling, thick soundproof walls, etc and this helped me get lined up perfectly every single time. Paid for itself in time saved just in the first project, can`t believe I didn't buy this sooner.
