It seems to work okay, although there are no instructions in the package. You might want to find a few twigs on the ground and practice on a few of them first, before trying this on the real scions. For the low price of the tool, I would consider it a value.

Not bad for the price it will work for small branch. Arrive with a complete items.

This one was purchased as a Christmas gift . Looks like another one that twice the price was paid for myself.These tools make simple the task of grafting fruits and plants while increasing the success rate .For the gardener that wants to experiment with grafting this tool is highly recommended.

The tool itself works fine if you are careful to select the correct diameter twigs. Once you have made cuts on both the root and scion and then try to hod everything together and get it properly wrapped and secured take abut three or four hands. There is very little length overlap to the hint so it does not have much lateral strength and you almost have to tie a split over the joint to keep it aligned. I had zero success on 15 grafts using the tool and 100% success using a knife and making a long diagonal spice with almost two inches of overlap. then you could get the wrap started at one end while ou held the joint aligned and the other end.It is a matter of practice and skill I imagine.

No instructions! Am I supposed to make it up as I go???

I have a bonsai addiction and thought to start getting into making my own starts. This kit gives me everything I need to get started with sharp, effective tools. I made a few test cuts on some trees to see how well it worked and found nice clean cuts all around. Minimal if any crushing was observed. This will definitely come to great use with the bonsai and fruit trees too.
