HORRIBLE HORRIBLE ITEM AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!Installed this system step by step per the sellers instruction booklet. A year later, the right arm stops working. Motor is taken apart to inspect the issue and three of the six gears are plastic, and the other three are metal. Guess which three were shredded..... the plastic of course! Contact the seller to purchase the gears, and are told we would have to purchase the motor again... frustrating because we only needed dollar gears, but okay. Before we can purchase the motor, we are told we would have to purchase the entire arm system again, because he cannot sell us the motor. 😡😡He is still arguing with me that there was no manufacturer defect with the plastic gears, but real life situations DO NOT LIE. The metal gears are in perfect condition one year later. Plastic gears, not so much. He is not willing to work with his customers at all, even after asking for photos of the setup to see if we installed it correctly. He received the photos, and he wouldn't even acknowledge the correct installation, because he knows his product is faulty. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

I've had this running for about 2 months, and it has been flawless.(2) 7' wooden gatesIt is a little more complicated to set up than the last opener I used, but certainly gets the job done. For the price, I think it's tough to beat these openers.Also, I cracked the control box, my fault.... And the seller was very prompt to reply to emails, and got a new control box to me in 3 days for a reasonable price.

THESE OPENERS NEARLY PUT ME OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!. After doing research, reading tons of reviews and settling on this unit, I began installing these openers as a business. The problem first began on my own gate, which was the first opener I installed. The gate began to malfunction after approximately 3 months of light use on a gate that was way lighter than the specs even called for. I triple checked all connections and even sent a picture of my wiring to the company so that they could verify my work was correct. They verified I had installed it correctly and sent a new board, stating that it was rare for this to ever happen. A few weeks later I started getting phone calls from countless customers having similar problems. I triple checked connections, battery and solar panels on all units...everything appeared operational. While inspecting the circuit boards I began to notice the same problem on all the units. They seemed to intermittently power down and power up even without being touched. As I began to look into return options on all the boards I began to realize the nightmare had just begun. The company wanted me to pay for return shipping and buy the $100 boards until I could send the old boards back so they could “verify” the boards were defective. When I received word back from the company that there was nothing wrong with the first board I sent but that they would return it “just this once” I realized this problem was bigger that I had first realized.Fast forward....we have switched to Apollo openers and eaten all of our profits on the installed for the first six months of business. Thankfully the nightmare is over for us and we didn’t piss too many people off by offering free installs on our Apollo’s.DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE WE DID....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Works great. A little more documentation would have been helpful, especially around the accessories.

Update: After 4 years one of the actuators began to vibrate and look like it was working harder than it should. When I contacted the seller to see if there was an appropriate grease or oil to lubricate the drive shaft, they said there wasn't any need to. It was then discovered that the weep holes were installed upside down on the actuator (manufacture error), thus causing rain and dust to get in and rust it. There are two weep holes on each part of the arm, but one of mine had one on the top and the other on the bottom. Because it was out of warranty, they refused to give a discount on a new one, even though they admitted it was a manufacture defect from the beginning. If I had noticed the weep holes were not correctly installed when I bought it, they probably would have helped me, but be aware that they won't take responsibility for any manufacture defects after the warranty period.This is really a quality gate opener. I had ordered a Mighty Mule, but sent it back because it was all plastic, bulky and ugly. This one is beautiful, sleek chrome, is quiet and the range on the remote key fob is amazing. I was able to push the button at the end of my road where my mail box is. It worked! That is at least 250 feet away.I thought the instructions were really great too! Clear pictures, and instructions on how to put it all together. With the help of my brother, and my little Kubota Tractor, we had in installed in a few hours.

Trouble installing (our fault) but company was very helpful in remedying. Works perfectly now.

Great product, even better customer service when I had installation questions.. Highly recommended.
