Premium phone without the price tag
Excellent phone. Looks slick and feels premium. Great battery life, fast charging (1.5hrs), clean display, lots of storage, top camera - even free headphones.I consciously avoided the flagship Samsung 'S' series - my work phone is an s8 and the curved screen is v frustrating (too many mis-touches), fingerprint reader is pants and the phone way too slippery to hold. The A51 is larger but ironically much more comfortable to hold. Also proper headphone jack - not all of us are interested in wireless buds. In all much better phone than the s10 and tonnes better value than the s20 for almost the same spec.Only niggle is the two stage phone start-up protocol which I guess is a security feature but feels a bit overboard.

Great value phone if you can't afford the S models.
Excellent phone all round. Great features, stunning screen display. What you would expect from a flag ship model. As an old timer who has just replaced and old S4 it is a bargain for the price. I have had it a month now and very pleased with it. Battery lasts for ever, even with lots of browsing and video. Only down side for me is the finger print scanner. I found it difficult to set up and use, as it is combined with the side button. Not something I use anyway. Apart from that it is a gem. Highly recommended.

Nice phone, poor fingerprint reader.
Purchased direct from Amazon, not 3rd party, for £235. Good value at that price. Replacing an A5 which was becoming too slow to be usable (built-in obsolescence?), A51 seems fine. Allowed it to update to Android 11. Samsung Smart Switch makes setting it up easy. Only drawback so far is the new optical thumbprint reader, which is pretty rubbish: even recording a fingerprint is difficult, it'll keep complaining that you're not covering the whole sensor, and my fingertips aren't small. Once recorded, fingerprint unlocking is hit-and miss at best. Add a screen protector and forget it completely; some people recommend re-recording the fingerprints once the screen protector is fitted but it's even worse. If you're happy with pattern, pin or face unlock, you'll be fine. But it's a step back from the A5, which had none of these problems (maybe it just wasn't very secure?).

very happy
What can I say, I read the reviews about it being slow and lagging, so initially had doubts whether to buy or not. But then thought why not.The things I have found:+Face recognition works a treat+Finger print better than my previous Honor 10+The camera is amazing, I love love love the macro camera+Didn't take forever to charge+Apps load quickly and they work with no issues whatsoever+video calls are clear+Volume is 100 times better than my other phoneMy only concern was the back buttin was on the opposite side, but when going through the settings I found you can choose which side you want the back button,so now I can have a choice of what I want. It's literally everything I could have asked for and for the price it's more than I could have asked for.

Extremely good value
The screen is extremely sharp and gets very bright, amoled screen makes colours pop. The fingerprint sensor underneath the screen works without fault every time and is fast and responsive. The camera is great for the price especially the macro camera if you like taking photos of plants or anything like that. All in all the phone is great value and would highly recommend for those looking for a budget phone (doesn’t preform as though it’s a budget phone nor does it feel that way) great value for money.

Just as good as the A71
Bought as a gift for my mum who had a phone that was starting to die. She loves it and finds it pretty easy to use. I have the A71 which I bought on amazon in the summer and the only differences between the two is camer quality and a slight difference in size. Its great value for the quality of phone.

Good mid-level phone
No sure what the bad reviews here are about - the phone was direct from Amazon, not from marketplace, and clearly legit and as advertised. The phone itself is good for the price (with the cash back was £270 ). Build isn't as good as my previous phone the A5 2016, but it's fine. Lovely screen though, fast enough, and Samsung phones just work.

Comfortable to use
A very comfortable mobile to use in many ways, including handling it - it's a slightly larger size to my previous mobile. So far I have found the battery life excellent. Graphics are good and the camera quality is very good too.
