Worked well in our conference room table
This fit perfectly in our conference room table, it looks sharp and is very functional. A few comments:1. I used the DEWALT D180068 4 1/4-Inch Hole Saw as recommended by others on Amazon. The hole size was just right.2. The cables just dangle below it, so I recommend securing the cables with a loop under the table so they are not hanging to the floor where they could get snagged.3. It is plastic so I recommend not flipping it back and forth between closed and open several times a day, it could wear out the tabs that hold it in place. We just leave ours open (3 outlets and 2 RJ45 jacks visible) for the most part.

Exceeds expectations…
This was for my employer’s conference room tables. The fit and finish are great. The product has held up well to the use and abuse from corporate employees. The shipping was very timely, and package was excellent. The installation was easy.

Neat and tidy, works well but feels a little cheap - uses a slightly non-standard hole size, but would recommend
In general I'd recommend this - it looks neat and tidy in the desk, but feels a little cheap (especially the release buttons). As others have said, It would be better if the diameter was closer to a standard hole size.To add to the description. The unit flips through approx 180', turning upside down. When closed there is a blank plate shown on the desk top with a release button. When flipped to expose the power sockets it is slightly raised out of the desk, leaning towards you (making it easier to see and plug into). There are two buttons, one on each side, that will unlock it so you can flip it over (the button on the 'power' face is just below/between the two RJ45 sockets, and can be seen in the product photo). One minor point: the image shown here is upside down; the two Ethernet connections are actually at the bottom of the unit (that is based on the printed labels below the RJ45 sockets, which were different than those shown here). This means the release button is closest to you if sat at the desk, which works well.My unit came with a 'Sunway' adhesive label where the oval with the two screws is shown, but clearly this is unit made in China and branded by whoever is selling it.As others have said, the need for a 4.22 inch diameter hole is a slight problem when it comes to installation. I used 4.25 inch hole saw, and the PowerTap is very slightly loose; and a very slight amount of the damaged veneer shows where I cut the hole. However, using the included metal clips the PowerTap is not going to come out of the desk. The desk it fitted this in was 19mm (about 3/4 inch) thick - the thickness of a standard IKEA table/desk top.The Powertap includes an attached 110v power cord to connect to a standard wall socket, and the two RJ45 sockets have very short pig tails (about 6") on the back that terminate with RJ45 sockets (so you can connect a CAT-5 cable to your switch or hub). The three cables hang below the desk, and need some freedom of movement when the unit is flipped; I'd suggest making sure there is about 6" below the unit to avoid damaging the cables. If I have any problems with this, I'll update the review

This a great value and saved me hundreds of dollars doing it ...
You use a 4 1/4" hole cutter from home depot and the grommet fits perfectly. After reading the other reviews I anticipated having more difficulty and I was surprised how well it fit. This a great value and saved me hundreds of dollars doing it myself.

Perfect Fit and Finish
Was easy to install and the extra long power cord enabled me to eliminate a power strip. I would recommend this product.

Custom Sizing
This is actually a pretty good unit except the fact it requires a custom circular bit. It took a lot of work to drill the size needed for this unit and the teeth aren't that good.All-in-all, go with a different unit if you can. Save the hassle and get a different one with a more standard size.

Didn't get exactly what I ordered
This was suppose to have two ether net ports like the picture showed but only came with one, and another port that I have never seen???

Great use, quirky install.
Love the product, but pay attention to a couple of things when purchasing. The instructions say to use a 4.22" hole saw. Raise your hands if anyone has one, I didn't think so. I used a 4 1/8th and did a little reaming and trimming. Table thickness can be a problem, again fixed with a little extra work. The product is well built which is great, but the thick cord may be in the way to flip the outlets over. Where the legs of your table are can prevent the flipping. Not a problem for me because I leave mine open all of the time.
