Supplying Demand00492431 00487383 Gas Range Igniter Replacement Model Specific Not Universal

This part was for my Thermidor PRG304GH and it was easy to install, it fit perfectly, and worked great. It only took two days to get here, that’s fast for our remote area. I was very happy:)

Very easy swap , 5 screws to remove bottom plate. A handful to remove lower front plate. One trick took time to figure out was taking off the door. To reset and lock the springs use a Cresent wrench for leverage the flip the locks to reinstall. Product fit perfectly. Electrical clips identical, build quality slightly lower , ceramic density not quite the same but looks completely functional time will tell, big difference is the heat shield wire protector which is missing from the new unit, I removed the old one spliced it and added wire protection at the most vulnerable spot. Works great. One tip if oven isn't at full function after the repair try turning power off 5 min at the breaker then back on. Factory reset fixed my problem- should try that first.

This is a plug and play igniter for the Bosch HGS25 freestanding gas range and it fits other Bosch models as well. The wires for the igniter feed through the oven to connectors on the back of the range. Simply pull the range away from the wall so you can access the rear, the connections are easily accessible on the back without any need to remove panel or plates. You could however splice the ignitor if you don't want to pull out the range, but I highly recommend using the factory method of install and it's not difficult to do. Pro tip: tape a string to the connectors of the old igniter and pull it through the oven when you remove it. Attach the wires for the new igniter to the string and pull the wires back through the oven and reconnect.I only have two weeks of use with the new ignitor but the oven now works perfectly. I'll update this review if I have issues. So far I'm super happy. The ignitor was shipped on time and packaged in heavy protective foam inside a cardboard box. Great job on this because these are fragile and can be damaged in shipping if not protected.

Used it more my Stove burner. Other than a slight adjustment to the connector, it was a simple install.

Liked price, fitment and performance.Seller had a broad range of models for which it's products are compatible.This one installed quickly and, now, we have use of our oven again.

4 stars because it's about $100 less than the ones from a parts store. It does still take about 45 seconds to light the gas so idk how long it will last.Edit: this thing doesn't work properly. It takes 5 or 6 times of turning the oven on for it to finally preheat the oven and stay on. Might be worth buying the expensive one.

These igniters are like light bulbs, they only last so long, this seemed a bit higher quality than the other when you look at the element shape. works fine
