All I got was a printed page anyone could do with a computer and printer. Save yourself money, go on line and buy the code instantly and no paying for blue sky for the code. Print yourself. I was not educated on this and cost me $$

Gift cards are definitely the way to go for Animal Jam. Otherwise, if you just buy your child a membership for less than a year of service, Animal Jam will force you into automatic billing forever (until you happen to remember to re-log in to stop it). It is a scam, in my view, so I only buy gift cards. You can handle it all online through the company, or, if you want a physical card, you can buy one like this one. The prices are typically similar (around $27-30 for 6 months).My kids are obsessed with Animal Jam as a game. As video games go, it is a good one that appeals mostly to girls. There is a social component, and some games embedded within the game that make for some interesting strategic decision making and whatnot. It is cute, and smart in many ways. Parents can limit the online interactions in different ways, which is important. My problem is not with the game.The problem is that customer service for Animal Jam is beyond abysmal. There is literally no phone number that can be called to address issues. My card # was not accepted initially (for a reason perhaps not pertaining to the card, but to how my child's account had been set up.) It took over two weeks to resolve, with seemingly automated, and partial half answers at best, to my very clear questions. It was frustrating beyond words.National Geographic is happy to take your money (and keep rebilling you forever, if you don't buy it with a gift card), which is not okay, and really casts a negative spin to me on National Geographic as a brand.
