Are these a good size for serving side dishes?

They hold about 4 cups. Would depend on size of side dish. But yes, for small sides like vegies, rice, mashed potatoes, etc. They are great for soup.

Is this serving bowls large enough to hold full side dishes?

I have a large family of 5 and the bowls are not quite big enough for side dishes for us. They are attractive and nice but for me I will use them for garnish dishes during the holidays.

I would Say 2.5in. at center of bowl, not a super deep dish, and a little on the narrow side too... still trying to decide if I’m keeping my set. Cute shape but possibly not as useful as hoping

The best dishes for your kitchen!

I've had this set and some others from Dowan for years!!! One of my favorite kitchen buys. They are high quality, durable, look great. Easy to clean, they look as good as they day I got them, even after multiple pasta dishes they do not stain. Love them. The oval shape is perfect for saving some space in the cabinet! Oven safe too!! I've used them in my air fryer.

Just what we needed

Beautiful porcelain bowls. They are big enough to hold a nice big bowl of soup without going over the edges. Come out beautifully in the dishwasher. A bit big for my cupboard, but that’s just cause I have too many dishes. I’d recommend these two others to purchase As they look like a quality item

Perfect. Was attempting to replace/add to a set of oval bowls already owned. Was having difficulty finding size and shape however, these are perfect set. Great size for hearty bowl soup or salad and perfect for say an individual rice bowl Great addition to any setting
