Lakai Men's Newport Skate Shoe

As an adult who had Vans in my teens, these are a revelation!! They feel so sturdy and comfortable compared to any other sneakers that I have owned (Adidas, Puma, Brooks, Allbirds, DC, etc.). The grip on the bottoms feel good and I’ve been trying them with my new penny board and the only problem is my skill level, not the shoes! I love the skater shoe and retro sneaker style and hate the newest trends in exercise shoes. Hate, hate, hate. But this one! I love!!! They are nice and low profile but have that sort of “bump” on the tongue that all the skating shoes have. The bottom of my Lakais actually feel like a cushion between me and the ground. I normally prefer my leather boots or loafers because I like a slightly dressier casual look, but I have been wearing these so much that they are already showing quite a bit of dirt after only 10 days! lol. I am a Men’s Brannock 7 and the sizing was right on the money. In boots I am usually a size 6 or 6.5 in men’s so I would definitely get your Brannock sizing. I typically wear EU 39 or Women’s size 8 as well. I got these because they were $50 and I hadn’t tried them before. But after this experience I would not hesitate to pay full price for any model. Highly highly recommend!!!

These shoes were decidedly better than the last pair of Lakai's I bought. The fit was on the verge of great ,only change I would of made would of been to make the shoe a smidge deeper other than that it fits great and is comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Also I might add the color was striking, the golden suede is sweet.

Got like 10 pairs of Lakai's, love them all, including these ones.

The shoe looks great! I accidentally bought a size too small (purchased a US9 men’s, when I usually wear a US9.5 men’s). Naturally the shoe was too tight, with the exception of the heel. Even with the shoe being too small my heels slid quite freely in and out of the shoe as if they were a size too big. Seems as though these shoes are heel blisters waiting to happen.
