Never apply mascara with this primer!
I've been using this eye lash primer for YEARS. When I first bought the Blinc mascara I tried it without the primer and it worked fine. But I noticed that it would flake a little. But my eye doctor suggested I try the primer too and it's made a huge difference. I had very short lashes. My eye doctor said they were so short because they were brittle and dry. And that mascara wouldn't stay on because my lashes were also slick. She'd had other patients try the Blinc primer and they liked the results. So I started using the primer and noticed immediately that mascara would stay on all day. It rarely flakes off now. About 6 months later, I noticed that my lashes had gotten longer. Now I always use the primer under my mascara. The tube will last a couple of months. Just ❤️ the Blinc primer!

Amazing lash conditioner, meh primer
So first let me say—I love blinc mascara. I love the tubes, I love how easily they wash off. The primer (I purchased white) makes it MUCH harder to remove because the tubes turn to little blobs and there’s a lot more cleanup involved. Honestly it’s probably still easier than normal or waterproof mascara, and if you’re not used to the tubes it’s probably a perfectly fine primer. That aside, I have a terrible time putting the blinc mascara on. It ends up all over my eyelids and I have to wait for it to dry and then wipe my eyelids, then go about my eyeshadow application. The primer made this part a LOT easier, so in that respect, it’s a great primer. Overall I’d give it a meh for its priming use.But. Let me tell you. I apply it at night and it has done WONDERS for my lashes. Seriously I had a near-bald spot on one eye and the lashes were way shorter than the others and it was heck trying to make it look normal, but after less than a week of the primer (after more than a week of weird lashes on that side, so it’s definitely due to using this product), all of my lashes are back to full length and then some. I am incredibly impressed. So I will continue to buy it and use it as a lash conditioner. As a bonus, I’ve found that it doesn’t totally wash off my face in the morning, and what’s left seems to serve it’s priming purpose just fine. Best of both worlds.

Great look but caused an allergic reaction
I had never used a lash primer before and was a bit skeptical, but thought I would give it a go as I don't like to wear false eyelashes. I have dark brown, quite short eyelashes. I decided that the only way to tell if it did actually make a difference was to put it to the test! I put it on one eye (went on white at first and then darkened) and then about 30 seconds later put on my mascara (L'Oreal Lengthening Mascara). The primer went on fine. I only put on one coat. Then I just put on mascara on the other eye. About half an hour later, my husband walked through the door and I asked him if he could spot the 'primer plus mascara' eye. Poor guy! Happy to say he chose the 'correct' eye and said he could see a definite difference especially when I turned to the side. He tells it like it is so I knew he wasn't humoring me! I could see the difference too, but wanted to be sure that I wasn't just willing the difference! The primer came off easily with a mild make up remover.UPDATE: 2 days after using and writing this review my eyelids swelled up and itched like crazy in an allergic reaction. I've never experienced a reaction before to makeup and I use different brands: Benefit, L'Oreal, Revlon, Dior, Lancome etc. The reaction lasted three days. Another reviewer said this product contains a harsh chemical called PEG, but again, every experience is different and I just happen to be allergic to this primer. What a pity because it looked great on!

Great Product
Blinc Lash Primer should be applied to eyelashes prior to applying Blinc Mascara. Heck, you could use this product under any mascara--I like that!I believe Blinc Lash Primer does help nourish my eyelashes. My eyelashes are definitely longer after I apply this product. I like that I can apply this product, curl my lashes, and then apply the mascara over eyelashes that have already been elongated by the Primer. The Primer brush does a great job separating lashes, as well.I'm applying this Primer after applying my eye cream (I wait a few minutes). The Primer helps protect my natural eyelashes and helps adhere the Blinc Mascara (again, you could use any mascara with this Primer. See my review of Blinc Mascara for more information on that great product). The product goes on "white" so you will want to use mascara over it. I've never worn it alone or longer than a few minutes to see if it stays white. When I apply my Blinc Mascara over it, I first apply to the white tips of my lashes to ensure I've covered that. Then I apply to remaining lash area. What I like is that:1. There is no clumping.2. Length of lashes is increased easily by applying additional coats.3. It doesn't irritate my eyes, skin, or hurt my natural eyelashes.4. This really thickens and fills in my eyelashes as a preparatory step before applying my eyebrow mousse. And covers grey eyelashes really well--yes!!!!!!!!!!!I have no "dislikes" for this product.

Leaves pigment to wash off
I usually use the primer that doesn't have color, but it was out of stock. This primer leaves pigment that you need to wash off. Part of what is so great about Blinc is pulling the tubes of mascara off and not needing to rub/wash the skin around your eyes as much. So using the primer that is black makes it just like using normal mascara, which leads to so much more unnecessary cleansing.

Not so good
The primer goes on easily, builds up (coats) lashes well in preparation for mascara. Unfortunately the new mascara I purchased started flaking off after a few hours. Will be trying a different mascara just in case that is the issue.
