I was a little apprehensive at first when I noticed this mat was a little thinner than the typical self-healing cutting mat that I've used in the past. But, not to worry! This is really a high quality mat. My understanding is that many of the non-folding Olfa cutting mats are NOT suitable for X-Acto type of knives (only for rotary), but all of the folding ones that Olfa offers are good for X-Acto and rotary knives.If I were to purchase a replacement cutting mat in the future, I'd probably buy another folding mat but next size up.

As a quilter I have wrestled with my large cutting mat when going to a class. It's so nice to have a mat that folds into a more manageable size for carrying. I was concerned about how smooth it would be when opened out flat. No problem. No bumps for rotary cutter to go across. You can run your hand along the middle and you don't feel the seam.

This mat is on the small side, and folds down to half the size. That is why I bought it, to keep in the travel bag I take to sewing classes. It is sturdy and the markings are easy to read. Obviously, this is not meant for large-scale projects, but that is not why I bought it. If you work small or travel with sewing supplies, this is an excellent cutting mat.

This product made a huge difference to me in the ease of making many, many face masks.

Perfect portable size for smaller jobs. I worried about the fold, but it is absolutely seamless when unfolded. Highly recommend.

Perfect for crafting on the go. I take my folding mat with me to my crafter's group. Easy and convenient to use.

Works perfectly for my use, which is to make short cuts in beeswax sheets. It's very handy to be able to fold it and put it away easily.

Die Matte hat leider nur Inch-Graduierungen und ist deshalb, zumindest für meine Zwecke, unbrauchbar. Hatte gehofft, dass zwei der vier Kanten in cm beschriftet sind. Schade, ging zurück.
