This item is good, the liquid hormone works more reliably.You can certainly use this, and I have with success.However the rooting hormone that comes as a liquid gives much more reliable results.With the powder, you risk 'burning' some plants as they get too much hormone delivered.Liquid rooting hormone works much more reliably without risk of burning some plants. You only need a very very small amount delivered to the cells to start root formation.

I started some seeds and the plants became rather leggy. I let them go until I was repotting them. I wanted the main stem to grow stronger to support the plant weight later. I coated the bottom third of the main stem in rooting gel them dusted it in this product and planted them deeper than before hoping to get roots and no stem rot.I'm happy to report it worked well. When I repotted a second time there was a huge root mass were the root powder was applied and the plants were noticeably bigger and healthier than others planted at the same time. The other plants root systems were not very well developed yet. (Btw the other product was Clonex gel).Conclusion : the product works well for developing roots and opens up more uses besides just using for clones.Hope this helps you decide.Michael

This product works great for plant propagation. I tried some without rooting hormone and some with it. Huge difference. Roots grew much faster when used with rooting hormone. Reason I gave it only 4 stars is there is no spoon or little spatula that comes with it. It has a weird consistency, almost like flour and falls in rather greater amount than needed when trying to shake some into a separate container so you can dip the cut ends of plants into the medium

Lemme tell you, all my friends, which I have a lot of, say that I have the best rooting hormone. It makes plants yuge. Believe me, you will be tired of growing such beautiful plants. The most beautiful. Yuge.

I bought this for my mom who has a mini plant nursery and she was really impressed with this product. She had a 90% success rate with her cuttings compared to the other rooting powders she'd tried before . I would definitely recommend and purchase again.

I purchased this rooting hormone to grow roots on a franjipani stalk I purchased on ebay. I watched some videos on youtube of how to do it, and planted the stalk about 4 weeks ago. The stalk is already budding leaves and stems, so I know this item works very well and does what it is intending to do. I didn't think this stem was even alive when I received it. It looked dry, but it is flourishing thanks to Root Boost.

I’m sure it’s me doing something wrong that doesn’t get my cuttings to become plants a decent % of times attempted, but it does work some of the time. Love the science experiment about it all.

definitely has an effect on root growth. before I would get a few long thin roots with this you get buncheslike starbursts of roots, they're shorter and thicker but seem to support the plant just fine.
