Great way to transport your quilting rulers
Used this to carry my quilting rulers when I travel to retreats. I add foam boards to make sure they didn't bend or break and love the light weight convenience.

Not too bad but feels really synthetic
This isn't bad for an inexpensive portfolio, and ultimately it does the task I needed it to do for me which is as storage for pieces I create so they don't get as damaged as say like placing them on a shelf. It certainly protects from dust and 'accidents' like placing an object on them and crushing or scratching them. If I need to for some reason, I can also quickly and easily move them all or transport them. The downside is that while the cover is pretty thick plastic (with leather texture), it's still not completely rigid. but is better than others I've seen at around the general price point. Because it's not leather, my art does slide around a bit since there's no friction on the inside. And...it feels totally synthetic - like plastic with a texture. That said, unless you want to pay hundreds on a more artisan portfolio (seems everything is inexpensive, or super expensive), then this should suit your needs. If you need more rigidity, you can always add some backing board or cardboard. Another bonus is you don't have to worry about the case getting messed up with any studio materials that might damage a portfolio made of organic materials.

Sturdy, Basic, and Great Price!
No extra pockets, but this portfolio is sturdy (plastic so not super-impenetrable but good enough to protect stuff) and a great price. Lightweight too. I bought over $200 worth of watercolor paper and wanted to both protect it and be able to transport it, and this fits the bill. I want to save as much $$$ for actual art supplies--yet have something fairly sturdy and usable, and this works on all fronts. LOVE the shoulder strap.

Read before you decide to purchase.
When I purchased my last light table (I have two, a small & large one), it was suggested that others purchased the portfolio along with the light table to keep them stored in. I personally do not travel with mine, so keeping them in there & stored safely from scratches isn't a bad idea. I also kept the foam from the packaging to add added padding. You can use it for minor travel/transport, but wouldn't recommend it for heavy transport or travel when using it for this purpose. The material is a very thin sturdy plastic. If you're using it to keep art in, I can see the benefit of its use. It is lightweight, and not easily bendable unless by force or done on purpose.

If you’re on a budget, need to protect/transport original art - this is an excellent bargain!
In a pinch I needed a portfolio to cart some original illustrations around and saw this. Took a chance and wasn’t disappointed. It is sturdy - although the vinyl/plastic that it’s made of is a bit wobbly (it’s not “thin”), the zipper seems decent (I do push it to a limit putting a light board in there sometimes), it’s lasted me a few months now and takes a mild beating from my tossing it into the car. Ha ha....My ONLY complaint is that the little “feet” at the bottom are pretty flimsy. They’re just like rubber studs that you’d make a bracelet with and use folding prongs to adhere to the case at the bottom. One fell off within a week. (Which I don’t understand because they never hit the ground and tossing it in my car doesn’t cause any contact with that area.) BUT - I don’t depend on those little “feet” to get what I need from this portfolio. I got what I paid for and it was a great bargain. If you’re an art student/photographer on a budget this isn’t a bad buy to cart your art around in.
