Okay lets start with first thing first! are you a audio phile but cannot spen 1000+ dollars on a set of head phones and portable dac amp but want to listen to good music? well this is for you! i got the MK 1because there is not hardware and software difference between the two. 1) YOU HAVE TO READ MY DEAR FRIENDS THIS IS NOT YOUR PLUG AND PLAY! the app has provided you with a lot o f instructions to make sure that you are satisfied with the sound you are getting and want to hear. To get the sound you want you have to set it up correctly with he right settings! I bought the renewed version so i didn't get a manual book so I had to do a lot of googleing to pull up the manual and go through their website to update firm ware and do the whole shabang! 2) Everyone has a different personality just like people like different sounds! I like bass heavy music so i tested out like 30 different combinations to find what I''m looking for. of course it would have been more if not for the help of google and other posting their setting. **** Warning**** If you are unwilling to sit with this devise for at least 2 hours to set it up correctly then this aint for you go buy the cheap 30 dollar Headrocker amp which i had before and it will work for you. ****Reviews**** I read alot of review that this thing can not power your DT990's or ur Jubliee's Absolutely WRONG!!!!!! with 50% volume level u should be good with 100% source level. with 100/100% ur going deaf myu friends i would suggest looking into getting some amazon basic hearing aids rather than an amp/dac. So all in all Everything is great about this one thing I would also say is that i unknowingly bought a 3.5 to 2.5mm balanced connector thinking oh then i can used the balanced port! WRONG! If you read though the setting it will tell you that yes Balanced is better but DO NOT connect your 3.5mm single-ended cable to es100 2.5mm Balanced output though the adapter liek below and send you to an amazon like of the exact adapter i bought! Jokes on me! I hope this helps!

I use the ES100 with my phone as part of my portable setup as well as sometimes connecting it to my PC so I can step away from my desk without shedding gear. Also I will sometimes hook it up to my Klipsch THX 2.1 set in the living room and broadcast from my PC to play music or from the TV for better watching sound. My only gripe which is due to getting the 'renewed' deal not the product itself. (this is why still the 5 star) I now have learned that products sold through the renewal process only guarantee of a battery of %85 capacity or better. Now that I know this I will not be buying any products which use an internal battery through the renew deal. I'm honestly not sure if this battery is even at %85.

If you are going to use this as a USB DAC on a PC you will only get 16bit 44.1. Supposed to get 24bit on a Mac but have not tested. Even when I connected to me PC I still got 16bit but could at least go to 48.000. Either way you will only get 16bit. I think it has to do with LDAC because on my phone, Galaxy S20+, I again get 16bit but when I turn on LDAC in my Bluetooth options for this it then changed to 24bit 96000. With that said I do like it and it sounds great but I feel they are less than clear with it's capabilities and that's disappointing. If you're wondering yes it does sound better when it goes into 24bit and I wish it did it without LDAC. I still recommend it, just know what you are getting before you buy.

I've never written a review in my 10+ years using Amazon but I was so happy with this product I broke my silence. I have Sennheiser 6XX oem's and no phone could come close to driving them. Amazing volume and sound quality. Honestly sounds just as good as my Schiit stack (modi&magni) dac & amp. I'm happy.

Realy great sound quality, but it feels cheap when holding in my hand. So I decided to return it and buy es100mark2

While this product retains a slight lag in the sound delivery, the real problem was that it has loud pops and clicks from time to time. Obviously, this remanufactured item was not properly tested. Nice metal clip and good buttons. Too bad for the sound problems.

This was my first ever DAC. It’s very small, perfect for the active user. The clip is very useful and the basic functionality buttons are simple to use.I like the application that can be downloaded onto your phone from FiiOMusic for a more advance sound settings.
