I do not know what is Sage 50. The monitor will replace most regular computer monitors. You use touch instead of a mouse.

can I use this monitor for retail (jewelry) purposes?

Yes. It will work for anything retail or food - you just have to get the right POS system.

Do the software come on the system and does it work with acer?

The driver shoud work with any Windows computer.I tried XP and Windows 7. How ever,the quality is an issue, 2 of 5 video pin connection broken in one year.
