Simple and smooth
There's not much you can really say about simple black gel pens, but of all the Cricut branded pens available, the extra fine gel pens are certainly the best. The write smoothly, they don't soak into paper the way their fineliner (fine felt tip) pens do, and they're great for smaller, more intricate drawings. I already had a couple but bought more simply because I know I'll go through them like crazy.

Inked well!
These pens inked well when I was making illustrations with my Cricut Joy Xtra. I have no issues with them and glad I was able to buy them as a pack of extra pens to have around.

I love these pens for writing with the cricut! They write very well. I thought they'd dry out while in the machine as it also cut at the same time but it didn't.
