We are huge fans of hot dots! My kids (ages 3.5 and 5.5) love doing hot dots daily and I love that there is a variety of different subjects and skills for different ages/grades. I feel like hot dots definitely makes learning at home fun and it has especially been helpful during summer breaks and during this time we are stuck at home because of the pandemic.This interactive storybook set is great for both of my kids to use since it includes 4 storybooks and it is for ages 3-6. It does come with one Ace pen but since we own so many hot dots sets, one of my kids was able to use one of their other Ace pens. The book pages are very thick and high quality so it is perfect for my little kids. The illustrations and story line of each book is engaging and cute. I love that there are a ton of skills covered in each book including alphabet, phonics, counting, colors, shapes, patterns and so much more! One of the many reasons I love hot dots is that my kids are learning while having fun so they don’t even realize that it is educational!Hot dots will be so beneficial for us as we continue to keep our kids at home during this upcoming school year. It is definitely one of the best tools to make sure my kids are still learning. Highly recommend this set and all hot dots sets.

Very entertaining way to read to your kiddo, or slow-poke adult who is learning to read.

This product was like a blessing to my children had lots of fun with it taught them lots of stuff very easy to maneuver and use

Ugh, this is my fault for not doing enough research I guess, but this is not a reading pen. :( I took "Interactive pen that helps them learn to read" to mean that it would read these books to them like the LeapFrog pads pen does but it does not. Your child will need you to read the books to them while they do these activities so if you're looking for something to help them actually learn to read I'd go a different route. The books are super cute though but there's only so many times my kid is going to want to go through these books without getting bored. Like I said it's very cute but I would recommend a different product to parents who want their kids to work independently.

This is a great set of story books, but definitely not a thing that kids will read and learn from it by themselves. It’s not reading anything from the books when you use the pen to point on. The pen will just tell whether you pointed on a correct or wrong answer.Parents still have to read the books with kids together.

I got this, to help with reading books. Great item, takes batteries.

My granddaughter LOVES Hot Dots. These are such a good educational tool, and they make learning fun. She touches the correct answer with her doggy "pen" and it tells her if she is correct or incorrect. Looking to get more of these now that she is ready to start reading.

My son age four, loves these books. My five year old, also plays with these books. It arrived on time and in good condition. As a teacher, I would have expected more from the Jr. Edition. Letter sounds would have been great to see in tge books and sight words.

What a horrible product. Good way to destroy a kid self-esteem. It’s just constantly repeat that’s not right you are wrong CONSTANTLY even when my kid gets the right answer. I hate it! What a waste of money. That’s will go straight in the garbage! Can’t even get my money back. SO DISAPPOINTED this toy should not be allowed on the market.
