This is an excellent product, if you know what you are buying.
Before you buy this product it is worth reading all the reviews posted as they give you a good indication as to why some people love it and some don't. It comes in a cardboard container. Inside that the coconut is in a hard block, shrunk wrapped in plastic. Getting it out can be a bit fiddly and sticky. The majority of the product is very hard, compact and dry. This can be quiet hard to cut. There is a little bit to one end that is softer. Consistency wise it reminds me of old chip fat or lard. Some people mentioned that the product has a grainy consistency. This is true, it also doesn't have the flowing, creamy texture found in many tinned coconut creams. It needs to be thinly shaved to get it to melt quickly. It doesn't have as much water in it as well and so can become dry and sticky faster when using in cooking. Most of the above issues can be easily dealt with by simply adding additional water during the cook process. The main problem could be that because this product doesn't have any of the added ingredients people often find in other brands. This makes it different to what they might be used to. All I can say is for me the flavour is fantastic, it's pure and organic and to be honest, it's so good I slice a piece off and eat it just as it is

Rich, creamy, and 100% natural. Perfect for cooking and smoothies — I love the fresh coconut taste!

Lovely
wasn't sure what to do with this when i first got it as it was solid in the carton-worked it out.... you slice off what you want and add it to hot water or the cooking pot- it melts thickens the liquid and tastes great, lovely and creamy. fab for Thai curries!

Concentrated coconut for all applications
Gorgeous product on all except one point - dry part of the paste are separate from the hard one. You can take it as advantage and use dry part as the coconut crumbs and harder part for different water dilutions. Also packaging can be a little plain for somebody but I can not imagine other solution for this product. Nice flavor and purity. Would recommend.

Melt it, mix it, then use it.
I purchased this once a while back, I don't remember whether it had sulphur dioxide as a preservative, as some do. However, with these creamed coconuts, you will find the sugars and fats separate. I think you're supposed to melt the contents until liquid, mix together and allow to re solidify. Then all the ingredients are amalgamated into a more palatable form. Tasty, off the spoon or in your curry.

Great value
Excellent value for money. The cheapest that I've been able to find organic creamed coconut anywhere. I don't mind it separating out, it means if I want less coconut fat (oil) then I can just cut the white bit off and use the creamy bit. If you use this instead of coconut milk be aware that it is not as smooth. I personally like the slightly more grainy texture in a curry, and it's a small price to pay to avoid the BPA lining in the canned milks.

Disappointing
So I’ve only ever used blue dragon before but couldn’t get it due to lockdown. Bought this thinking it would be the same but sadly whereas the blue dragon was coconut all the way through this is 3/4 coconut and a 1/4 coconut water?! (Well a lot thinner than the rest. As I tend to only ever need 50g at a time it therefore only lasts 3 meals as apposed to the usual 4. Flavour wise I can’t tell the difference.

Biona Coconut creamed
