Max Factor Creme Puff - # 42 Deep Beige, 21 g

I read a lot of reviews before making this purchase. It was very hard to figure out which shade I needed, since Max Factor's Creme Puff has been around for so long and there are several different shade interpretation charts floating around the internet. I'm Native American as well, which makes it doubly hard to find shades tailored to my light-medium-tanned skin. I finally settled on Candle Glow, which looked closest to my color (and because I really, really liked the name). It turned out to be a perfect match. I tried then threw away the "puff" it comes with because it's a very thin, very rough piece of what looks like Styrofoam (I'm sure it's not) and it hurt my delicate face-skin. After applying with a rubycell puff though, I was amazed! All I put on was moisturizer and Creme Puff, and my skin looked even, clear, and glowing. The powder didn't look or feel cakey, even after several hours. I did touch up every few hours, but that was more because I wanted to rather than needed to. My skin is usually a combination of oily T-zone, forehead, and eyelids versus dry cheeks and broken-out chin. Creme Puff kept my oil at bay and didn't make my skin break out any more. I have acne scars on one cheek that I hate, and this powder made them virtually impossible to see. The only thing that could be wrong about it is the scent. It is quite strong, like a perfumed baby powder. It usually takes about fifteen minutes before I can't smell it anymore. I'm mildly sensitive to smells, but this one doesn't really bother me. I could see it bothering others though, so purchase with caution. I've heard it described as "old lady perfume" too. All in all, I love this powder and can see why it's been around for so long. I definitely recommend it as long as you aren't sensitive to smells. I know I'll be buying it again!

Not a refill at all as it's glued in to the point that attempting to remove the "refill" from its packaging leads it to shatter into tiny pieces and makes it useless for a pressed powder compact. I don't know if this is just a crappy defective one, but the powder broke, flew all over me and the remaining shreds to not look like pressed powder at all! Under no circumstances to I recommend this worthless mess. It might be fine to use in the container it came in, but it was sold as a refill. Update: I contacted Max Factor and this product is discontinued and out of stock. This leads me to believe the powder cracked apart because it was OLD

This is a very good powder foundation and applied easily. It was a good match for my skin. However, I do want to give a heads-up, since many prefer an unscented product, that it is noticeably perfumed. The scent dissipates very quickly after application, however. I did think the "puff" could have been a little nicer. It was an extremely thin piece of foam. And the packaging is not very attractive, which is surprising considering that Max Factor played such a large part in Hollywood's Golden Years and you would think they would want their products to have a little glamour. It would have been nicer if this had been designed as a compact with a mirror. Still, the product itself is good and does what it is supposed to do.

Nice shade for light to medium skin tones

We like the product but the company or Amazon keeps placing the sticker over the ingredients and it he information on the back. Taking it off always rips the information. Bad bad bad!

Max factor is tested n proven for its quality thru the yrs. I was searching it long time.. store discontinued it. Thank u seller for selling it at Amazon. Hoping u sell for shades

De momento he comprado el TONO 042 deep beige y el 013 Noveau beige . El segundo me queda mejor ahora para invierno es más fondo arena y más claro y el 42 tiene un fondo más rosado y oscuro lo usaba para verano y ahora la zona de los laterales de la nariz y papada. Encantada con la calidad de ambos, se asienta bien en mi piel y con mi piel grasa me quito los brillos y aguanta unas 12 horitas. también es verdad que matificó la zona de la nariz que es donde más brillo me sale.

This is an absolutely amazing product. It provides such good coverage for my skin. I can even get away with foundation and it last a long time. Really easy to apply and it glides on. I have tried clinique, Estee Lauder and for the price this is way way better. I will never but those ones again. It would have been nice to have a mirror and I don't know if you can get one with a mirror, but even so. Max Factor make up - I am a converted and once my Estee Lauder foundation has run out I will be switching to Max Factor. I am so pleased. Not sure what more to say but a great product, stays on well, very good value for money and gives really good coverage. Great , great, great, and it arrived very quickly too!!!

Me gusta bastante, se adapta muy bien a mi tono de piel que es bastante claro, sin alterar el tono. Me la aplico sobre la base de maquillaje para matificar, no noto ni tirantez ni sequedad, ni tampoco que se vuelva oleosa por no poder respirar, tengo la piel sensible y tengo mucho cuidado con elegir bien el maquillaje que uso. De esta misma marca he usado siempre unos polvos mate translúdicos con el mismo buen resultado, pero diría que éste tiene más poder cobertor.

Only powder I will ever buy. 10 second application, not a heavy feel like sum, very light feel & conceals flaws beautifully

My all time favorite compact powder, never fail to give a flawless glow!!! One little issue is that they did not come with a sponge anymore.
