Powersplint - Sports Finger Splint Guard Protector; All Sports, Ages 8+; Used by The Pros (Small, Blue)

I have a severely arthritic pinkie that is quite swollen and I got this hoping that it would help. It is well constructed and I can see where it would be very useful if you had a bad sprain and it would allow for controlling the movement of that finger giving it chance to heal. My problem isn't going to get any better and I was hoping it might provide some protection as I tend to bang it a number of times a day and that is very painful. The problem is that because of the swelling the top part that is hard actually makes indentations into the swollen area even when it isn't strapped down tight. This isn't a defect of the product, rather it is just the condition that I have unfortunately can't be helped by this.I am thinking of trying to see if I can add something between my finger and the hard part, but I may also be butting up against how far the velcro can reach. Wish they made a small that had extra padding and longer velcro as the medium size is probably too long for a pinkie finger.

This splint was perfect. My son broke his finger the 2 weeks before a vacation to key west. We knew we were going to do a lot of snorkeling and swimming. I used this splint on him when he was in the water because I knew the splint given by the doc would fall off. It worked great, never fell off and provided him the support needed to keep his finger safe. He then also used this splint for a few weeks after cleared to play soccer. The splint provided a little safeguard so that his finger was safe while playing.

When you order this kind of product, chances are that you or someone you know broke their finger.Which means you hope to get this product in the right size on the first try.I ordered the "Small" size, because my daughter broke her pinky, and the splint she got at the ER was bulky and scratching her skin with its sharp edges (you'd think they have something more child-friendly at the children's hospital ER, but - nope).I got the PowerSplint in two days, and it's clearly of size "L", and it even reads "LARGE-BLUE" above the bar-code.But according to the label that's been slapped on the box - it is "small blue" (see the picture), so, technically we got the "right" thing.Needless to say, I'm returning this item. I thought of ordering a replacement, but who knows if the whole batch has been mislabeled.I couldn't waste any more time, so I had to give the clunky splint from ER a major makeover and lots of polishing of the rough edges, so it's actually good to wear around the clock. Bottom line: Power Tools: 1, PowerSplint : 0.

My daughter received her power splint Wednesday afternoon. She wore it in a Bball tournament this weekend that consisted of 7 games. After 5th game we noticed bottom of the brace was starting to unravel and is no longer sewed at the bottom. As for the protection it provided I could not be happier, but I just assumed it would be more durable. Not sure its worth ordering another although she needs an extra one to have for upcoming games.

Broke my finger, knew I did it, wasn't crooked - so saved myself a trip to the doc and grabbed this splint. Works fantastic. Easy on and off and not cumbersome like typical splints.

Works great, good support. Make sure to get the right size, found it to cut finger circulation if put on to tight. If left loose the velcro strap on top will irritate the finger and it will be uncomfortable to wear. I placed some non stick gauze to eliminate this problem but felt like i shouldn't have to modify. Overall it does its job preaty well.

Splint for sprained finger so I can continue to play softball, I jammed it during a game and now it is a little game shy - LOL. This splint will give me the courage to play again and provide protection.

The splint is great. The only problem that I have is the top velcro strap does not stay completely stuck.
