Every Spring we get an algae bloom. I'm sure it's because of where the tank is but as it's 75 gallons, it can't be moved around easily! This year was epic, and I could not get a handle on it. And yes I've tried everything over the years, cleaning, constant water changes, the very exprensive big green machine or whatever it's called and to no avail. My fish were really suffering. And I remembered I had used one of these lightbulbs, a much smaller one and it was ok not great. And then I realized, duh, get a bigger one for the big tank. Within 24 hours, crystal clear! Amazing! So easy, pop it in behind the filter, and done. Crazy. I can't believe my goldfish are 8 years old now and I've only just figured this out! Cannot recommend more!

I tried two of these. The first one had something like mildew on the inside of the tube and pieces rolling around in it and the second one lasted a few hours before not working! BEWARE!

I know this has mixed reviews but I’ve been pretty happy with it. It takes time to work but it works ! My tank gradually became clearer and clearer.

So I was vey skeptical about this method because I’ve tried a lot of others and nothing helped, but I was desperate because no matter what I did, water changes, products, the green soupy water came right back within a matter of days. The first light I received didn’t work but I was immediately shipped another and the results were great! The displayed results did NOT consist of any water changes at all during that time period and I was honestly shocked. This was a great and inexpensive product that I wish I would’ve learned about and found sooner

My tank was so green we could not see through it. We had used the algea chemical stuff, and did full water change after change to no avail. Finally someone recommended 1 of these lights I figured why not. When the light came it was not as bright as I figured it would be. But I put the light in the filter and after a few days it did look less green, I added the algea chemical stuff after a few days and my tank has been crystal clear every since. I've never in my 25 years of having tanks ever had 1 this crystal clear. This is a 95gal tank and I only used 1 light. It's been a month. Today I checked the filters to replace them and to my suprise it's pretty clean inside the filter where the light is and the cartridge is not all gunked up like the ones without the light. Was it the light I cant say for sure, it sure seems that way though. I give it 5 stars.

I used this little uv lite in my 20gl aquarium, stuck it directly in my water filter, and it did wonders! After a week or so my tank was so much cleaner. The only reason I'm giving this product 3 stars is because the light just stoped working after less than 2 months. Luckily by the time it stopped working the algae was under control.

Took around 5 days to clean up our tank from the green algae. Nothing was working with the product we bought previously so I've decided to finally try this lamp. As written on the box I let it running non stop until it was clean of everything and making sur the blue light was not visible for anyone in the house and the aquarium. After the 5 days, I preferred to remove the light completely and I keep an eye on the water. So far so good. No green ennemis in our water and our fishes seems to be doing okay.

I forgot to take a before photo, but this is much clearer water than before. It's only been 2 days. I put the light right in my filter to protect my fish from its UV light. I'm happy so far.

It didn't want to work from the start and the seller said things rattling/rolling around is normal, and never addressed the power fluctuation video i sent them and told me to talk to Amazon for returns if I don't like it. Yet they stated in their ad to contact them and they will make it right, by make it right - they mean go talk to Amazon - not us. Eventually it came on (maybe a wiring issue?) It turns off after 6 hours every day (my doing, not a feature), it got 240 hours of use over 40 days? Now it's all burnt and doesn't work at all. & I can't even contact the seller about it. 10/10 Do NOT recommend. It asks me to review suction power & the remote control when this does neither thing. Doesn't suck water or suction to your tank + no remote, it's a switch box on the cord. UV was bright when it did work.

Worth the money! It’s working well to take out the cloudiness bacterial bloom. I have a 120 gallons and have ben’ been running it about 24h now and I already see the difference!

I set up this light and ran it straight for roughly 48 hours, it seemed to clear up the water a little. I turned it off for about a week. I went to turn it on today and it wouldn't turn on - the light no longer works.
