Thank God For VAIS Tech!
One could complain all they wanted about features they wish this thing had, navigability one wished was easier, minor glitches on occasion, etc., but the bottom line is that, using the interface they had to work with from Lexus, this unit works great to give me what I wanted: iPod integration. Works perfect with my late model iPad, too, so when I am traveling long distance in my '07 GX 470 with ML sound system and put it in my mount on the dash, I just unplug the fifth gen iPod I use everyday that's in my glove box and plug the iPad into MML-T1 MutiMediaLinQ. I then have a giant Waze, Google Maps, etc. navigation system display at my instant reach and the music portion controlled and administrated from the steering wheel controls or the OEM Nav screen. I also get the voice directions from the apps through the sound system. I have it daisy chained to a SoundLinQ3 SL3sat-T kit from VAIS and all of it works perfect and seamless. The sound quality is awesome.

Great sound, needs work on the execution.
I had this installed in a 2005 Lexus (Olde Faithful) because I plan to drive the car until she dies. The sound over the Mark Levinson sound system is really terrific. My service department recommended it and they installed it quite easily. I would have given it 5 stars if you could actually change play lists, or even stay on a play list easily. The instructions were useless as far as playback goes. There is no rhyme nor reason to what it decides to play and the forward and back buttons are useless to switch from one song in a playlist to another song in the same playlist.

Just what I needed
A wonderful unit, much better than the ivic I came from. Charges phone while getting info via the lightning port, so just one connection. No reverse screen interruptions and the sound is great. I can still change songs with the steering wheel controls and scan through folders with the touchscreen (only when stopped, but that's a feature of the Lexus navigation that I still need to bypass). Displays song, artist and album info. All the features I need and nothing I don't.

Great - minor software glitch.
Excellent product technical support. Super easy installation. Deducted 1 star for minor software glitches. Song playing does not always correspond with album or playlist name. Hopefully a software upgrade will fix this in the near future. Otherwise very happy so far.

but I am glad I did
I was hesitant to splurge this much on a glorified aux input kit, but I am glad I did. We installed this in our 04 Land Cruiser in preparation for a ~1k mile road trip after both our cassette player AND CD changer stopped working. This was cheaper than having Toyota fix either, and gave us the priceless benefit of streaming internet radio, podcasts, etc through our car stereo. Retaining the OEM steering wheel controls is clutch, too.

So nice sounds quality like CD
My car, 2007 Lexus LS460 with 19 speakers, is using iPhone to play Apple Music very well. So nice sounds quality like CD. All functions are working including volume control and wheel Music buttons and touch screen of navigation.

Sturdy, works well, could use an edit to the manual
I installed this is a 2007 Toyota Prius. This device allows an iPod, iPhone (or other MP3 player) to show up the Prius Multi-Function Display screen as a MP3 CD. The controls take a little getting used to; for example, the button sequence to switch from browsing through playlists to browsing through artists is a little complicated. But VAIS did the best they could with the Toyota interface which was not designed specifically for this application. The manual is not fantastic. Pictures of the main cable in the manual don't match the simpler cable that they now ship. Some of the descriptions of key sequences appear to have typos, or simply don't match the key names perfectly. The hardware is simple and sturdy, basically a small steel enclosure with a USB port on one side and some connections and switches on the other side. I installed this carefully in my Prius dashboard, following the recommendation to ground the case. The sound quality is excellent. If you own a 2007-2009 Prius as I do, you will also have to make a decision about the "speed wire" that goes to the Prius MFD and inhibits full function of the MP3 CD interface while driving. The simpler set of controls available in motion are tolerable, but some of us prefer fuller functionality even while moving.
