Our mechanic wasn't sure that this would fit so we tried it anyway. Was very happy it would fit this was the cheapest that we found all over the internet.

Shop wanted a few grand to do this install. The part alone was 400% more expensive. I took a gamble and I’m glad I did. If you haven’t done this job before, I’d recommend and impact wrench. We broke 2 breaker bars removing the old one. It’s not the sub frames fault but, cause the oem was the same, but there is one really tricky boot to get because it’s in a very narrow channel. I don’t even remember how I finally did it but I kept thinking a gearless ratchet wrench is the only thing that could make it easier. Anyway, looks good so far. I’d also consider spraying it again with some rust resistant pant, unless you’re a rockstar mechanic you’re probably going to get a few scrapes and scratches on this when you shimmy it in and access all the bolts. We removed both front wheels and slid the rack & pinion. I’d you’re end up having to remove an axle don’t forget to catch and measure the transmission fluid that spills out. It’s a big job, took us 2 days but most of it has to do with how rusty and stubborn the old one is to get out. I’d never do this job again without an impact wrench. On my drive home after I had to drive with my wrists because my hands where numb from all the manual cranking lol.

Bought from the same vendor the rear crossmember last year for this vehicle and it was OEM Mopar made .Gave great review then . This year I bought the front crossmember and was disappointed to discover it was made in China , not USA made Mopar label like the rear was that I bought previously . They sell the Mopar OEM ones like this on eBay for 135 dollars . That’s 35 dollars than what I paid for this Amazon one.I hope this China made one was engineered right and fits and lasts like the USA made one I put on the rear .
