Arm & Hammer Baking Soda-4LB (01170)

Baking Soda does EVERYTHING. Really. This is one of the most ubiquitous products around and you really cannot do without it. It serves the following purposes in my house: * Use in baking - makes wonderful levening quick breads. * An old time home remedy that is very effective for indigestion. Dissolve in water and drink it down - the relief is amazing. * An old time home remedy for insect bites and stings. Make a thick paste and apply to the bite. * Room, fridge or closet deodorizer. Leave it in an open container and it absorbs smells of all kinds. * It makes an awesome non-toxic scouring powder for non-toxic cleaning. * Cleans sterling silver. * Sour Laundry - If you’ve ever forgotten a load of wet laundry, Baking Soda will save the day. Just dissolve ½ cup in some water and add it to your laundry detergent. It will remove that awful sour smell and leave everything sweet and fresh. No Kidding - it really works. * Use it to make an exfoliating scrub. * Use it to make dry shampoo. (Some people also use it to make wet shampoo, but I don’t recommend that because it can be harsh on hair if used regularly.) *Use it to make underarm deodorant. *Add a few drops of peppermint or cinnamon extract for a homemade tooth powder. This list goes on and on and on. Baking Powder is probably the most valuable household product and no home should ever be without it. I buy it in very large quantities because I use it for so many things. It is super inexpensive, but also super useful. Love, love, LOVE it! :-)

I was reading about house keeping and baking soda. I thought it will be really great. Because It has a lot of uses, cheap, not bad for you, and good for the earth. This is how I use baking soda. 1. I use only 2/3 of laundry detergent and use 1/2 cup of baking soda. It makes clothes really clean and good for the world. 2. I use 1/2 spoon to wash my hair. My hair feels dried when it's wet. But later when my hair is dried, it feels really soft. 3.I exfoliate my face with baking soda like it says on the box. My skin looks clear and soft. I was using St.Ives scrub stuff. But I like baking soda more than that. Because its particles are really fine. So I just think it will be better for my skin. 4. I use this to take a shower. Put 1 spoon of it on shower clothes with body shower stuff. My skin feels dried but cleaner and later it gets not dried without lotion. 5. I use this to brush my teeth, too. I love it. It has salty taste.. You will may not like this. But after brushing, breath smells good, cleaner, and it is supposed to make teeth whiter. I just love using baking soda now. I found 75 ways using baking soda by searching Google. I am expecting baby and I will use baking soda to clean my babies diapers, clothes later. It has uses information on the back of the box. And You can give friends as a little gift. I ordered 3 boxes and gave 1 box to my friend and told him how to use them. And He loved it. Great thing to share i think.. I hope this is helpful for you.

baking soda is a must-have in my home

I would love to get behind the scenes and figure out how Amazon works. I ordered this 4 lb box of Baking Soda from Amazon. I got a 5 lb bag of Baking Soda from WalMart! No change in price, just more product for the same money. I thought these guys competed with each other but the internet is a wondrous thing is it not? So it's regular Arm and Hammer Baking Soda - good product - many, many uses. I use it for adjusting the alkalinity in my hot tub (also as a deodorizer in the refrigerator and in the freezer).. Still, I have to scratch my head on how this worked behind the scenes.

Fabulous Versatile Product at a Great Price! I bought the mack daddy 4 pound box as a MUCH cheaper alternative to Alkalinity Increaser for my saltwater pool. It is the exact same ingredient... sodium bicarbonate. Just make sure to store it in an airtight, waterproof container (that old expensive alkalinity increaser bottle should do just fine). This stuff is great at deoderizing the fridge, closets, shoes, etc (just maybe use a smaller box), plastic welding/repair used with superglue, fizzy bath-bombs, and so much more

Great size for getting all my household cleaning complete! I sprinkle a generous amount on my stainless steel sink with a little bit of dish soap and scrub away. Dry it with a microfiber cloth and it looks just like the day we had it installed. Why buy chemicals when baking soda works wonders on just about everything.

Soda is fine; used this large box entirely to dump on mattress to freshen it up, leave it on a couple of days, vacuum off (clean your vacuum thoroughly a couple of times in the process) but the bed will be fresh as new, and one can see ishy residue of some kind? strange when using a clean mattress pad always and clean sheets, but it happens, the soda will rise it up to the top and bed feels new again. Wonder how long Arm and Hammer Baking Soda has been around, certainly all of my eight decades. I also use it for brushing teeth.

I love the fact that's its a 4lb box. In the long run it saves me a lot of money because I use it for several things
