So now i do not get any info even though i have had contact with their engineer who emailed once to which i replied trying to give him more info but have not heard a thing since that was 15th March very very poor customer service
I have had the SolarEdge optimiser system since November 2011, with 17 optimizers. So far 7-8 (actually lost count) have failed. at present I am trying to deal with SolarEdge as I now have a further two playing up some days they allow charging other days they start and then stop so the panels do not perform as the others.you used to be able to raise a case and see their comments and make comments but since around November 2017 they changed the system so as a customer using their products you do not get any information they will only deal with the installer which for many has become a problem as the Solar market in the UK became unviable they stopped as in installer even though they are still business as they also did plumbing. So now i do not get any info even though i have had contact with their engineer who emailed once to which i replied trying to give him more info but have not heard a thing since that was 15th March very very poor customer service. However I have to say when working correctly a great product but too many have failed and they are still U/G for another 19 years

Good, but two big issues
SolarEdge has a lot of videos and support information to spell out the positives of their system. For the most part I agree with their claims except for their very biased comparison to micro-inverters. So I would give them high marks. However, I see two big issues with their solution. First, they stack the solar panels like batteries, with each panel adding to the voltage, with the final voltage being 350+VDC. Unlike AC, when DC gets a hold of you it does not let go and for this reason, the system is dangerous. They have some integrated mechanisms that look to avoid arcing, but if someone touches an exposed wire or there is an undetected ground fault, it could be grim. As serious as this seems, I think I could live with this one and treat it with the respect that high voltage DC deserves. The second issue is that the only way to do panel level monitoring is via their SolarEdge Servers. This means that your array must be connected to the internet. Obviously if you have no internet or it not accessible, this is big problem. Also, with all the solar startups that are here today and gone tomorrow, there is a real possibility that the solaredge server will not always be there. They offer a poor excuse for a fix in that they allow a 3rd party datalogger to be connect to the string inverters. But this only gives you string inverter data and not panel level data.

Horrible service
Would give zero stars if I could. Customer service is horrific. Product keeps disconnecting from wifi

Poor technical support
Customer technical support is poor. They also pay zero labor on defective parts unlike other solar manufacturers.

The Best System on the market
These little optimizers are the best in photovoltaics that came up in recent years that i know of. I recommend to anybody who thinks about converting sunlight into power to make use of this. Have installed it for myself and I don't recommend anything else to any of my customers. There is no downside, besides that it might loose 1-2% during changing DC Voltage: but bottom-line this 'loss' is theoretical and the benefits in overall system gain are big.It makes everything very save and easy and the 25year garantee speaks for itself.Phone hotline is a bit difficult, but online it works great. Be reminded that SE is a fast growing company and recently registered on NASDAQ
